    Default Pistons or Spurs---Who wins

I am predicting the Spurs in 6 games.

No disrespect to the Pistons but I just feel the Spurs will win.

I don't think the Pistons have the consistant mental attitude this year that they did last year. They are too up and down and I don't think they can give the Spurs 1-2 games the way they have their other opponents during the playoffs.

Either way, I think it will be a great series.

I would rather be the hammer than the nail

I think the Spurs will win in 5-6 games. I don't think it will be that close of a series.

Just for the record I don't hate Detriot and believe that they are the second best team in the league. I just feel that the Spurs are that good.

Good luck taking the crown away from the champs. That's all I'm going to say.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

I honestly have no idea. The Spurs have three players who can give any defense - even Detroit's - fits. Detroit has proven, repeatedly, that they can deal with two.

I am very much looking forward to the series though. Great coaches, great defense, two teams that can win in several different ways - should be fun.

We also have a few guys - Sheed, Billups and Rip- that have given SA fits, Sheed especially.

Rasheed Wallace plays better against Tim Duncan than any other player in the NBA. So much of Rasheed's offensive production is based off of motivation, and there's no greater challenge at PF than Tim Duncan.

The Pistons have one advantage that no other NBA team has- they don't really have to double tim duncan. Sheed bothers the living crap out of him.

I predicted the Spurs before the season started.

Detroit's only hope is that an important Spur gets hurt. They won a couple series last year because of injuries to opponents an a couple more this year.

    Detroit in 6.

Random Thought but I just felt like saying that I understand why alot of you guys hate Detroit, but I must say that I respect all you Pacer fans, you guys really love and support your teams. I hope eventually the fued between Detroit fans and Indiana goes back to what it once was and lose the hatred and turn simply into a great rivarly that it was before.

It's wierd but if Detroit had lost to Indiana I probally would be cheering for your *cough* pacers just because I respect Organization and love this forum.

Pistons in 6 or 7 and my reasons for that is -

1 - San Antonio is a very bad foul shooting team, even thier guards. Except for Brent Barry, everybody on their team who plays significant minutes misses free throws at significant times. In a series that is going to be a half court battle, there is going to be a lot of fouls and the cumulative effect of SA not able to shoot free throws well will be a factor, resulting in the Pistons winning the series.

2 - Forget everybody on the Pistons, Chauncy is one guy who is in control of the situation at all times. He will be the single reason, the Pistons have an edge. I would venture to say he is the most mentally tough player that I have seen since MJ. I thought Chauncy would not be a good fit with Larry Brown but I think he has changed and matured from his stints with other teams.

Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

I didn't see the Spurs games this year, but last year we didn't double Tim. Foster played him straight up (very very effectively, I might add).
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

I don't know. If someone stuck a gun to my head, I'd pick the Spurs in 7 games.

More importantly, I can't remember being more excited about the NBA Finals. (except of course in 2000)

I said before the playoffs started that the Pistons would repeat.

    These are two great TEAMS.

Buckle up ladies and gentlemen....mostly ladies... we may get to see one of the best NBA finals ever.
