I wouldn't mind him coming here if he had a reasonable contract, and we didn't lose any valuable players.

That said, I guess I don't want him here.

And this comes as a surprise to who? I wouldn't want that slug on our team if Dallas paid his contract.

Why are your words so big? I was just getting used to skipping the purple without becoming annoyed... and now this.

One reason I love Larry Bird and Donnie is because they didnt get caught up in the hype and didnt give Damp that huge deal. Man Mark Cuban would do anything to get some wins, 9 million dollars per year for 9 points and 8 rebounds. I feel sorry for the Mavs.

Everybody knew the Mavs gave up too much. I'm happy we didn't outbid them.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

We weren't even in the bidding. We were never seriously interested.

Dampier played well in a contract year? Imagine that.

I thought JO played well last year, after he got his contract.

JO was third in MVP voting in 03-04, the season after he signed his contract.

    Jermaine was.

Luckily, our front office is smarter than that.

Is that your opinion or do you have an inside source?

Possible I suppose. To be honest, I'd rather have him than Malik Rose and Mo Taylor.

Trading ending contracts for Dampier would have been stupid. But at least he would have (sort of) filled a need.

Trading ending contracts for two players who do us no good whatsoever was absolutely idiotic - especially Taylor. At least with Rose we got two draft picks.

I'm still monumentally PO'd at that one.

BTW - thanks for getting rid of the bold - now I read your posts - used to give me a headache.
