With everyone making fun of Ron's rap career, has anyone actually heard one of his songs? Am I allowed to post one?

Yea actually I've heard an entire album he made which was a demo.

All that I can remember was a song called "Hennie" (sp?).

Here are some of my favorite lines from Ron Artest in "Henney"

So much snow in my building, I bought a damn sled.

So much green, police thought it was weed. Until they saw it was money.

Now I gotta guard Dirk Nowitzki. N***a please give me some Henney.

A point of clarification that's gotten lost a few times... the album Ron was promoting last October wasn't an album of him rapping. It was a girl group that he helped produce.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

    I've heard Ron rap once.

I don't really make fun of his rap, or his Allure girls, because that really isn't my genre of music. I wouldn't know if he was good or not.

Although, a few Eminem songs (Stan) and the "Gangsta" sequence in Office Space I like.

Ron sucks as a rapper. But you cant blame him for trying. All those lines you posted suck rap wise, the only one thats okay is the Snow and Sled one.

Hey Jesus, (why do I feel heretical when I type that?!)

I would LOVE to get a hold of some of that! How big are the mp3's? If they are just a couple MB, you could email them....I can get up to 10MB in a email....

Let me know if it is possible. I have an avenue to distribute to some of our fellow users here....I would be glad to do it...

Oh, and by the way, I think you have the best screen name I've ever seen!

Are you talking about the Ice Cube song from the "plant the computer virus" scene, or the Geto Boys song from the "destroy the copy machine" scene?

EDIT: Printer, not copy machine (I think); Oh well, now I have an excuse to watch it again.

I know the album he was talking about around th brawl was Allure. I have this mixtape or something by TruWarier records with Ron Artest singing "Henney" and he is on a few other songs. Plus I weren't saying those lines were good rap-wise..They were so bad they were funny.

Well, I was reffering to the first rap sequence (Damn it feels good to be a gangster), where he is walking around, grabs the drill from a worker, etc. However, all of the rap sequences in that movie are hilarious.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. I also love when he is rapping along to Scarface while sitting in traffic in the first scene.

All of them are good, though.

I finally couldn't resist and picked up the sampler CD from Ron's label from the bargin bin recently. I saw a different one in the store somewhere too which was like so-and_so with ron artest presents or something like that. I haven't listened to the one I have yet though, kinda scared really. Like if I spilt a beer on the speaker while it was playing what would happen huh?
