I've seen enough of the Western Conference Finals and far too much of the Phoenix Suns. Their defense is horrible, a disgrace to the NBA.
Mike D'Antoni as coach of the year? I don't think so, any coach that coaches a team to play defense like this is lucky to have a job if you ask me. The Spurs are basically running a layup drill. 43 points in a 4th quarter of a conference finals road game. 33 points the next road game in the 4th.
What is the coach of the year voting based on. If it is based upon who is a good coach, D'Antoni should not have finshed in the top 10.
The question all year long was whether a running team could win it all. Well that was never the relevant question, the relevant question was whether a team that played very little defense, could they win a championship.
And the answer is a resounding No.
