Default for the NBA fan in everyone....the last 25 championship seasons in one set

This is a tad redundant if you already have the bulls celtics and laker sets (their championship seasons comprise 17 of the 25 season films in the set), but hey, if you dont, this is one hell of a set.

I'm not sure about any possible special features.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

    Division Champions 1955, 1956, 1988, 1989, 1990, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008
    Conference Champions 1955, 1956, 1988, 2005
    NBA Champions 1989, 1990, 2004

Cool, how much does it cost? And is that only documentarys or Finals games of their championship?

well, its NBA Entertainment's documentaries of each season/playoffs for sure. I have the last 25 on VHS. The 1980's documentaries were much better, because they focused on the entire league, not just the best team. The videos 1990 and on focused mainly on the eventual champion's season.

I hope they add some full games, but for only 5 full DVDs, Don't hold your breath.

I'll see if I can't pick this set up tomorrow.

Well we're on the Lakers DVD for sure, as well as a lot of the Bulls if it has stuff from the rest of the playoffs.

the only two documentaries that featured the pacers at all were indeed 1998 and 2000.

They were mentioned in 1990, but mostly as first-round fodder. %90 of the pacers footage was of Dick Vesace.

    ok, here's my review:

-The 5-disc set features the last 25 documentaries, spanning 1980-2004, by NBA entertainment. The Narrators range from Dick Stockton, to Brent Mussburger, Georgew Blaha, Chick Hearn, and others.

-My one problem is, that the discs aren't labeled. There's only "side A" and "side B." So, you kinda have to remember which disc is which.

-There are no extras. Just 25 40-minutes videos, one for each of the last 25 years.

-25 non-championship reasons to buy this set, that are covered in depth in the videos:

1980- Julius Erving single-handidly plowing over the eastern conference to will his team into the finals.

1981-the 40-42 Rockets upset of the defending champ Lakers.

1982-the 7-game war between the sixer and celtics in the ECF.

1983-the most surprising sweep in NBA history, the Bucks take out the Celtics in 4 games, after years of torment.

1984-the New Jersey Nets upset the defending champ Sixers in round 1, the first time the defending champ has ever been knocked out that early. Oddly, the road team wins every single game.

1985- Vinnie Johnson's incredib;e series aga8inst the celtics that earnedhim the nickname, "the microwave."

1986- The Rockets 5-game domination of the champion Lakers, capped by the most ridiculous series-clinching shot ever by Ralph Sampson.

1987- The Celtics lose to the Lakers in 6 games, but Kevin Mchale has the series of his life, totally dominating whatever PF the lakers throw at him.

1988- The upstart Utah Jazz, led by the young stockon-malone combo, take a 3-2 lead over the Lakers, and nearly win game 7.

1989- The #6 seed Bulls come out of nowhere to defeat the Cavs and Knicks, and deal the eventual champ Pistons their only two losses of the 1989 playoffs.

1990- The Bulls and Pistons re-match in the 1990 ECF, and this time it goes the full 7 games. And Watching Dick Versace kicking a gatorade bucket halfway down the sideline never gets old....

1991- The Bullsend the pistons reign in a 4-game ***-kicking, probably the best series the bulls ever play.

1992- The Bulls gets taken to 7 games in round 2 by the underdog NY Knicks, the only time in their first 5 title runs that they get taken to the limit.

1993- The Knicks take a 2-0 lead on Jordan's bulls in the ECF, only to lose the next four, including maybe the most heartbreaking game in Knicks history, game 5.

1994- The Rockets drop games 1 and 2 at HOME to the Suns, and come back to take the series in 7.

1995- This time, the Suns take a 3-1 lead, only to drop the next three to Houston. Game 7 was ended by Mario Elie's "kiss of death."

1996- The Bulls get revenge on the magic, sweeping them in the ECF, including a 20-point comeback in game 2.

1997- The Hawks steal game 2 in chicago, and have the bulls on the ropes in atlanta until the bulls wake up and destroy them ove rthe final 3 games.

1998- The Pacers manage to take the bulls to 7 games in the ECF, and nearly pull it off.

1999- Sean Elliott's "miracle" three to beat portland in game 1 of the conference finals.

    2000- The Lakers-Blazers conference finals, where portland choked away a 14-point 4th quarter lead.in game 7.

2001- Iverson pours in 49 points in game 1 of the finals, to hand LA its only loss of the playoffs.

2002- The Kings-Lakers conference finals, maybe one of the greatest series ever played. LA won agme 7 in sacramento, in OT.

2003- The Spurs shock the 3-time champ Lakers in six games.

2004- the Pistons go to seven games with the nets, losing an epic game 5, and coming from 3-2 down to win the series.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

    Conference Champions 1955, 1956, 1988, 2005
    NBA Champions 1989, 1990, 2004
