That is way too far of a gap.
Chicago is a much bigger market than Indiana. That's the only logical explanation.

That "leaked" list from a few weeks ago was almost correct. Only got a couple players/positions wrong.
Well, yeah, anyone on here could have come up with the list for All-NBA teams and only missed a couple spots

Green has to be the worst player in history to make an all NBA team
Larry Bird qouted March 25th. 2015:

Bird: I wanted to keep our group together because in the summer, if David and Roy opt out, we're back to zero, really. We don't have that much, so you leave your options open. If we did make a trade, I didn't want to take on a lot of contracts -- because that's what usually happens. Plus, I liked my guys. They're playing well. If we keep the core together and Paul comes back healthy, we'll be right back to where we were.

There is a silver lining in all of this. Since Hayward and George were left off, they will team up
    In Boston, of course.

Gobert got more first and second team votes than Davis but nine voters didn't vote for him at all

I don't think many people had Gobert second-team.

Can Paul George still make an All-NBA team next year to qualify for the 'Super Max' or was this it? I'm really confused now on this.

Yes, but we would have to wait until after the season and risk him walking away as a free agent.

Sunshiner: Good, since PG is definitely staying here in Indy, this gives us more cap flexibility to improve the team around him and become a contender.

Doomsday: That money was our only chance because PG hates all of his teammates and the state of Indiana, and after he goes home to LA, the Pacers will move to Las Vegas.

Realistically: PG deserves more credit, but I felt like he dogged it all year so this is what he gets. I would've been upset if he signed that supermax contract and inhibited our ability to get better going forward. This does improve our flexibility and maybe we can make some moves that convince him to stay. At the very least, it's one BIG domino out of the way, and one step closer to having this whole headache resolved soon.
It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.

I think the goal should be to improve the talent around him to have a better season record-wise. It's easy to see that guys like DeRozan, Green, etc, who are inferior players were simply rewarded for being on better teams. If he has close to the season he just had (or slightly better), and Pacers can finish 3rd or 4th in the Eastern Conference, I think he'd make it pretty easily.

I'm more or less in line with this. I think PG is a better player than Jimmy Butler, I'd rather have PG in the playoffs than Jimmy Butler, but PG coasted until the final two months of the season. Butler played balls out the entire time. That's the difference imo.

I don't know the numbers, but my understanding is that they'll be able to sign Hayward outright. Which would of course allow them to use the trade assets we've all talked about to acquire PG (#1 pick, Brown, Smart, whoever). Honestly, that'd be a stacked team, PG would probably re-sign the day he arrives, and they could definitely challenge Cleveland. The Pacers would still get great value of PG and re-build quickly, and mature at the end of the LeBron reign.

This seems like the most likely outcome, by far. Why would any team pay full price for him right now? He's almost certainly going to be LA bound next summer. The Lakers would be crazy to give anything of value up for him when they can get him for nothing, and any other team would likely be renting him for one year.

I know I am in the minority....but I am all for trading PG13 to the team with the best offer.

Do the Lakers have cap room to sign him outright next summer without having to dump money?

I mostly agree with this and tend to think the Lakers are very much okay with taking that gamble, but say the Lakers take Lonzo Ball with the #2 pick. D'Angelo Russell becomes expendable. If they are penciling in PG, then Brandon Ingram becomes expendable too. It's not tooo crazy to think they would package those two, a future first (and/or pick swaps), and maybe someone like Larry Nance to ensure they get PG. I kind of doubt it, but just tossing ideas out there.

Yes they will. They are trying to dump money to sign 2 guys.

To sign Hayward they have to rid themselves of Olynyk (RFA), all their UFA (trash), and trade some combo of Rozier/Crowder/Bradley. They have two first round picks from last year joining the team. To get both guys?

    Essentially:

Out: Crowder, Bradley, Smart, Olynyk, Rozier, rest of UFA
    In: Zizic, Yabuselli, George, Hayward

    PG: IT
    SG: Hayward
    SF: PG
    PF: Horford
    C: Zizic

    Bench:
    Brown
    Yabeselli
    Vets

That's off the top of my head. Give or take

I don't really have any desire to become the 2016 Lakers 2.0.

Yes it is. See the Woj report. PG telling LA not to gut the team - just wait for him. LA isn't going to offer any of their 4 lotto picks.
