the Timberwolves are terrible. Got nothing else. Usually players on terrible teams get penalized. He was the most productive center in the league this season.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

They're both wings. Whatever the label. On the basis of defense, Paul is the better player.
Not whatever the label. In this context, one is a guard and is voted against other guards and the other is a forward and voted against other forwards... this isn't rocket science here!

And LeBron is the best player in the league and will not come close to being MVP. Because he did not have a better season than Harden or Westbrook, who no one would argue are better players than LeBron James.

It's about results, not what your max potential is. George did not play to his potential for most of this season and DeRozan did.
BTW, DeRozan on some sites is listed as a GF. He's not really any different than Paul George. At 6'7", I seriously don't see any difference between a SG and SF. It's like calling JO a PF when he played C all the time.
Lance is finally home. Whether he becomes our starting PG or he's 6th man, he's getting big minutes and he's here to stay. #llortontnia

Fine. He still deserved it over George regardless. He came to play every game. George came to play when he felt motivated.

regardless of who made it and who didn't, if they're gonna tie massive paydays into it they gotta just get rid of the positions altogether. just make it 5 guys on each team.

He had a great year, so yes. Paul, at times, was not appearing to be motivated. I said time and time again that his effort stats were down. I just hate seeing a lesser player, who would be owned in a head-to-head match-up, get the spot light.

also, yes losing PG is gonna suck, but do we really wanna give the biggest contract in NBA history to a guy where even most of his fans will argue he shoulda made THIRD team all NBA but still understand why he didn't?

Part of the allure of being all NBA has always been being one of the best at your position

Yes. I thought Draymond played C in their best line-up. They should at least put the best group of players out there. So is Draymond Green competing against small forwards...since he's a forward...yet he plays C? Really?

Even with only 3 spots available it's still the easiest spot to make an All NBA team. If they went positionless only Davis would stand a chance at making a team this year. Deandre Jordan definitely wouldn't.

Don't like that. Centers matter, even though the numbers don't reflect that. if anything KAT should have made it over Jordan.

Pretty sure no one is complaining about Butler making it over PG. But Draymond Green over PG is wack.

I've definitely heard it from quite a few. And I've heard from quite a few people from the state of Indiana - which makes it even more sad.
I mean, paul was closer in the voting to hayward than butler by far. Yet everyone acting like paul is automatically better than jimmy. Yet we are up in arms if anyone says hayward is better.

I think PG should have made it over both, but I of course admit to ridiculous bias.

With Butler, there is at least a legitimate debate to be had. Green getting in over PG is laughably pathetic. As is KAT not getting a nod over Jordan.

I am not biased toward the Pacers. Lance yes. But not the Pacers. Yet I see Paul as a better franchise player than Butler and it's not that close. I think he's more capable of carrying a very heavy load in the playoffs.

Can't take all NBA votes seriously. Once you get down the list to 2nd and 3rd team votes. Big markets stars will always be voted in over smaller market stars. Journalists in bigger markets voting for their own interests

Forget about Green over PG. Green still shouldn't even have made it over Hayward.

I like Hayward as much as anyone. But he's not quite as good. Close though.

There's no conspiracy. Writers rewarded guys for being on better teams.

I also know that PG would steal DeRozan's lunch money one-on-one.
