Question Time to think about next year

We need to replace Reggie and Jackson is not the answer. He is a cancer and needs to go. I think he is more volatile than Artest. Trouble seems to find Artest while Jackson goes looking for it.
Before Seattle loses Allen how about packaging Jackson and Pollard in a sign & trade? With Ron back and Allen at the 2 we would be favorites to win.

    I disagree.

I'm not going to address this, because we've done it several times in the past week or so. Please respond in those threads and tell me where I'm wrong.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

I love Stephen Jackson, but I would be in favor of that trade. However, I do not see Seattle doing it.

With a little luck (i.e. healthwise) this team would be very difficult to beat next year.

    Ron will be back.
    Tins will be healthy
JO's shoulder will be healed (man these last two seem reminiscent of last year)

I'm in favor of no movement at all.

    Dale
    JO
    Ron
    Jack
    JT

That is a darn good starting lineup.

    I don't think he's a cancer, just a knucklehead, AND he's coming around.

I had almost started another thread on this. I am totally in Jackson's corner. Yes, he has done a few irresponsible things this year but I see the improvement. So much so, I believe he is better suited to "lead" the Pacers than JO. Whereas JO talks the talk, Jackson walks the walk. This was a great pick-up!

I don't find Jackson offensive, either...In fact, I like the guy because he is emotional and seems to care.

Don't get me wrong, I love Jax and I think hes great for the team. But, lets be realistic. If Seattle called up Donnie Walsh and said "we want to do a sign and trade with you. Ray Allen for Stephen Jackson and Jonathan Bender/Scot Pollard/Austin Croshere, your telling me you wouldn't want to do that?

Im not saying shop Jax around, but if we have a shot to get Ray Allen by all means we should take it. The guy is clutch, he can put the ball in the basket, and he definitley solves our shooting problem.
