They are just ranking players by how they view their draft role will go, obviously not by team needs or whatnot. That being said here is who they have projected at 18.

A jack-of-all-trades wing who can easily fill a complementary role for any team, though he must prove that his shooting progression is sustainable.
BEST-CASE SCENARIO: Matt Barnes, Mike Dunleavy Jr.

    PLUSES

Improved spot-up shooter after quickening his release, though he needs to preserve his revised mechanics.
Flashed potential shooting off screens while displaying good footwork.
High IQ/instincts; knows how to fill an off-ball role sprinting in transition, spotting up, and cutting.
Good passer who makes quick decisions and accurate passes.
Serviceable defender who has great quickness and length to contain guards and wings.
    MINUSES

Not a fast-twitch athlete and lacks a tight handle, limiting his scoring off the dribble.
Settles for too many floaters and midrange jumpers due to inability to attack the paint.
Thin frame and average physicality limit his defensive upside.

Yeah, I don't see MDJr in Justin Jackson at all. I've seen him going around 11 in mocks though, so if he falls down to 18, I'll be thrilled. If PG stays here, JJ can play at shooting guard and have a huge size advantage. He'd fit perfectly between Teague and Paul, and could play with Lance quite well also. If PG leaves, that would allow JJ to play SF, and he and Myles can continue to develop together (JJ is a year older), and they'd be a good duo to build on going forward with their length and skill. Jackson appears to me to be a guy who understands the game and will fit in anywhere. There's some doubt about his ceiling being very high, but I think he's got a solid career ahead, and could be an All Star.
It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.

There are TWO Justin Jacksons. The one from Maryland might be the better one. Has better length wingspan wise.

Whatever happened to the athletic testing that is usually done? Or has it not been made available?
