Over/Under every question about joining Lakers?
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Would announcing he's leaving on Kimmel be more or less classy than the decision?

I'd be surprised if that's how it goes down. But if he does as long as he let the Pacers know ahead of time I see no issue.

    That's what LeBron didn't do.

Yeh I don't believe for a second that's what will go down, more interested in where the hypothetical would fit on the spectrum of classlessness!

Everybody beat me to the jokes that I wanted to say, lol.

Remember when we could have gotten 1-2 solid players and a possible Top 3 draft pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by trading away Paul George?

Telling a fan base you are leaving . . . that is not a classy move any way you want to look at it. It would be a really bad decision to do it while still under contract.

He can't leave for over a year, thus he will be playing for the pacers next season. If he plays next year like he ended this season the pacers probably won't do anything with him, because he will probably make an all nba team and qualify for the big bonus, $70m if I remember right? Thus there is to much to be decided yet for Paul to say he's leaving in a year.

But if he tells the Pacers he's not re-signing regardless of anything this Summer you basically have to deal him, or hope he changes his mind, but no one can afford to take that risk

So it really doesn't matter if he's under contract for next season, he can still leave if he so desires to

Yeh for mine not signing an extension is a proxy for asking to leave. I reckon doing nothing and hoping he comes round next year is the worst of three options

Actually excited about this. He will get a question about the Lakers at least, and I am interested in his potential reaction.

Really the only thing that he probably should say is that "I'm under contract to play in Indiana" and not comment on the future... It's vague enough not to upset the organizations or fans of where ever he ends up.

I don't get that. If he doesn't qualify for the DPE then why sign an extension that precludes getting the DPE if he qualifies next year? That's just stealing money from yourself.

Or throw in a first-round pick and flip it for a max-level point guard...

If PG is still on the Pacers next season, he is making all NBA no doubt. At that point it would be if he even cares about all that extra money.

The thing is, they will 100% do a bit about him going to LA.

This is where we really miss Letterman.

Hence THE reason why Paul George's contract/trade situation sucks for Indiana especially with him being so tight-lipped about his future, minus the tweet his Agent released regarding LA....

Man I hope PG stays. I plan on making my first ever trip to Indy in the next couple of years, to go to a Pacer game. It would be so much better if he was still on the Pacers.

    Why's he on Kimmel?
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

**** off Kimmel ugh. You can literally do anything in LA and the weather is amazing. Just let Indy have this one thing.

    Disagree.

It's freaking miserable. But that's just my personal opinion. Half my life in CA weather and half in WI / other midwest states. I definitely prefer seasons.

First time I've ever heard LA weather described as miserable. To each his own, as they say.
