I love Ball, think he will be a solid pro, but I think Fox is a big time winner. He and his teams will be successful. He reminds me of somebody but I can't figure it out.

    WCS sucks
Once Cousins left he proved he had a lot more to his game. He averaged 13pts and 9rebs the last two months of the season. Not to mention he defends and rebounds, exactly what is needed next to Turner. Literally the perfect fit.

You don't have to defend the guy, from anywhere. He's not even close to being close to the defender he was advertised as being. He just hasn't been good.
Must not have watched many Kings games this season. You probably think Skal Labissierre sucks too

It's 100% his dad. I'll answer that for all of them right now. But what is funny to me is ive seen 2-3 GM's interviewed & asked @ the combine if Lavar would have any impact on them taking Lonzo. All 2-3 GM's said absolutely not that he would not matter at all.
Such a silly reason not to like a player....

Remember when we could have gotten 1-2 solid players and a possible Top 3 draft pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by trading away Paul George?

It's true. Mainly because people only read his quotes. If you actually listened to Lavar talk he is literally joking 90% of the time he says the things he does. I think he's hilarious. Smart businessman too.

Lonzo is gonna ball no matter what, I think it would be pretty cool to see his dad at games downtown lol. Be the biggest celebrity we've got

No reason for Lakers to trade Ball for a player they can sign for free in one year

Hypothetically speaking, if you're Danny Ainge and you're offered Jimmy Butler or Paul George (assuming he's willing to commit long term), would you do it?
    No.

Threat of losing him to the Clippers.

Yep, definitely a possibility. My point was more along the lines of the Lakers probably can't afford to have their cake and eat it too in this situation (keeping their pick/young players AND getting PG).

I would prefer Paul to stay here, but if he wants to be a Laker, trading for Lonzo is an outstanding consolation prize. I view the father as a positive, not a negative. I'll admit that Lavar says dumb stuff. Donald Trump only said dumb stuff, and we elected him President.
And they will both prove to be bad moves.

Been reading up on Fox (can't wait for Tbird to do his thing on these guys) and I think where he's drafted will have a big impact on how good he is.

Two things about him stood out.

    1. 31% of his offense came in transition
    2. He shot less than 25% from 3.

Obviously he needs to learn to shoot regardless of where he goes to play, but I think if he goes to a system that fits his ability to play in the open floor, it'll only help his game from the onset.

With the Los Angeles Lakers coming away with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2017 NBA Draft following Tuesday night’s lottery, multiple NBA teams are evaluating trade packages for D’Angelo Russell, league sources told SI.com. 22 mins ago – via Sports Illustrated

Long way to go before the draft.

Will Magic want to make a big splash early on and guarantee he lands the Lakers next star? If the Celtics lose to the Cavs in a tough fought series, will Ainge want the closest thing to matching LeBron there is in the eastern conference to put them over the top? Will there be a surprise team out of nowhere wanting PG's services? Can Pritchard convince Paul to stay (hopefully) and build a team that can compete for the next several years?

A lot of questions with no answers as we head full steam into the off season.

This actually got me thinking: What team, besides LA and Boston, could come out of left field and want PG's services?

IIRC, this is the third consecutive year the Lakers have gotten the #2 pick.

This bodes well for the Pacers. IMO there is a pretty good chance PG gets traded before the draft, and the two most likely places were (are) Boston and LA. I'd be happy with either of those picks as part of a package.

Well, Boston landing #1 actually takes them out. You would have been in the conversation at 3 or 4. At #1 they are not dealing that pick unless Paul George promises them he'd re-sign, which won't happen. I'm not even sure they'd trade that pick anyway.

The Lakers are your first, best and only trade partner here.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

First I don't think the Pacer are going to move Paul George but if they were just the #1 pick wouldn't get it done. Any trade for Paul would require his willingness to stay with that team and in that case it takes a lot more than a top pick to get him. The Pacers would get more for Paul than the Wolves did for Love.
Larry Bird qouted March 25th. 2015:

Bird: I wanted to keep our group together because in the summer, if David and Roy opt out, we're back to zero, really. We don't have that much, so you leave your options open. If we did make a trade, I didn't want to take on a lot of contracts -- because that's what usually happens. Plus, I liked my guys. They're playing well. If we keep the core together and Paul comes back healthy, we'll be right back to where we were.
