JO and Jack start making shots and becoming the offensive forces we know they are? They've been nothing short of average for the whole series thus far, so once they both get it going, do we have anything to worry about? But, when will that happen?

When they aren't being defended by Ben Wallace and Tayshaun Prince.

Wasn't JO pretty good offensively in Game 2? Or am I just making this up?

Do ya' think that is really the main reason? I can see it a little more with JO I guess, b/c he is trying to score in the area that Ben patrols. But, JO has missed A LOT of point blank stuff.

I don't see it so much with Jax. Jax in so many ways reminds me of a Jalen Rose who plays defense. He can score in bunches, and it usually is not in the framework of the offense. Also, when he is scoring... it is usually so unorthodox that it doesn't seem to matter who is covering him.

Case and point his flat footed 3 in Beantown.

JO scored 22 pts in games 1 and 2, which is pretty good considered that he's still injured and the DPOY is guarding him. He only had 8 pts and 6 rbs in game 3 which is way below average for JO. He's gonna need to step up for us to have a chance in game 4. Jax's point total has decreased in every game this series. I think he's played decent defense, and he's been able to get plenty of good looks but just isn't hitting yet. If Jax and JO can average 20 pts apiece, I think our chances to win this series increase.

Why isn't Rasheed guarding Jermaine more, anyway? He has always given him more trouble, in the one-on-one matchup, than Ben.

I've noticed this too and after thinking about it, I think they're waiting until the 2nd half to throw Rasheed on JO, presumably so he's got more rest than JO by that point (not a lot of defensive work stopping Shystie and Dale).

JO did play well in game 2 but was settling for jumpers in the third game. He has to take it srong to the hoop, like in game 2, against this Detroit team.

I don't want people to think that JO and Jax can't have more offensive impact in this series - but when you're going up against the top defensive team in the league, I wouldn't expect anyone to be the offensive force they were in the regular season.
