Default Trolls, Ignorant Fans, and so on...

Today I was using the computer, when someone instant messaged me on AOL. I had no clue who this person was, but I could tell by their screen name that they were not intending to have a nice conversation with me. Here is the conversation (I am kyerkes98, but I'm sure you can figure that out):

    SheedPrince2236: Hi. Are you there?
    kyerkes98: yes
    kyerkes98: Who is this?
    SheedPrince2236: not a pacers fan
    kyerkes98: Yes, thats obvious
SheedPrince2236: their gonna lose in 5 games
kyerkes98: Do you have a reason for messaging me, or are you just attempting to harass me?
    SheedPrince2236: fine ill go
kyerkes98: I have no problem talking to people online, but you don't seem to have a legitimate reason for wanting to speak to me. Where did you get my username?
SheedPrince2236: i was looking for a stupid ron artest buddy icon and i got to this site http://www.sportscardforum.com/showt...=116508&page=1
    kyerkes98: Ok, thanks.
(The site he searched was a site I use to trade sports cards, just in case you were wondering).

My point is - I don't see how some fans just don't get it. I understand that he is probably a younger fan, but when does one become mature about viewing sports? From everything I have witnessed/read, there has been a major problem with trolls at the Star boards, and some here as well, but thankfully we have good mods/admins that take care of problems quickly. Hopefully all of us Pacers fans can behave better than this, as I know most of us do.

Just thought I would share this and let others rant away as well!

I'm not going to lose any sleep over it; I actually found it somewhat comical.

This isn't my "Pistons friend" from school though.

    It isn't a youth thing.

    It's an overall maturity thing.

Yes, I agree with you there. However, the majority of posters who do these type of things are pretty young (forgive me for labeling youth though - that was not my intent at all).
