I'll be buying my tickets tomorrow at noon when they go on sale. My wife is a big Prince fan, and he's playing Conseco just about on my wife's birthday....lol...

of course he's a prolific musical genius... who's in your avatar, Mandy Moore? I'm not into bubblegum teen pop.

Prince is still around? I thought he stopped performing in 1999.
Welcome to Pacers Digest! New around here? Here are three tips for making the forum a great place to talk about Pacers basketball.

    • Log in. Even if you want to read instead of post, it's helpful because it lets you:
    • Change your signature options. You can hide all signatures by choosing "Settings" (top right) then "General Settings" (middle left) and unchecking the box "Show Signatures" (in the "Thread Display Options" area).
    • Create an ignore list. I know it may seem unneighborly. But you're here to talk about the Pacers, not argue with someone who's just looking for an argument. Most of the regular users on here make use (at least occasionally) of the "Ignore" feature. Just go to "Settings" -> "Edit Ignore List" and add the names.

    Enjoy your time at PD!

    Tayshawn?

The poster "pacertom" since this forum began (and before!). I changed my name here to "Slick Pinkham" in honor of the imaginary player That Bobby "Slick" Leonard picked late in the 1971 ABA draft (true story!)

I'll never get over the last time Prince played in Indy, about two years ago. My Friend called me at about 10 pm on a Sunday and said, "You gotta come up to Birdy's (a relatively small club) because Prince is gonna show up to do an after party."
I was like "Riiiiiiight, Prince is going to come play at that hole."

Well, the next morning, I heard that he actually did. He showed up with a drummer and a bass player and he played the guitar from Purple Rain. He played for like two hours and blew everyone away.

I still hear about it to this day... javascript:emoticon('')

Anyone who doubts Prince's genius needs to go get themselves a copy of "Dirty Mind" and throw a party....you'll see...

Prince's concerts are generally regarded as total performances as opposed to "singing".
The best exercise of the human heart is reaching down and picking someone else up.

I remember that day I was at Birdy's when it happened
March 11, 2002, he played at the Murat and a couple hours later rocked the house at Birdy's.
