Default To put things into perspective..

Many of you know user "LedZeppelinColt" from his days at the Indy Star forums (Colts) or Coltpower, CrankyColts and right here at PacersDigest.

A few minutes ago a friend of the family and Coltpower/Cranky member got a call from Zeps wife Linda and notified us that he got into a car accident and didn't make it through.

He was a frequent member of this site once the move to this forum happened. Over 400 posts I believe. One thing I will always remember about the Zepper is his PASSION for the Indianapolis Colts. I honestly don't know anyone else in the world who loved that team more. And he absolutely adored coming to these message boards and chatting about two of the best franchises in Sports.

Colts football isn't going to be the same without his infamous ranting and raving. My condolences to his Wife and family. Truly a sad day.

thats beyond sad. Nobody deserves to check out that young.

I remember LZC. He was a good fan. Very passionate about his teams.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

Wow, Zep was one of the most fun Colts fans on the IS forum. He'll be greatly missed there and here, but more importantly, our thoughts go out to his family and friends.

Short on details. We're all pretty stunned. But im pretty sure he is from Southern California and it happened there.

I'll fill you guys in as I hear more. We do know that he will be cremated and his wife, Linda, will be at the Texans game to spread his ashes near the Dome.

This takes what should have been a wonderfull night & shoot it down. I've known him for years online & I had several P.M. sessions with him. He hasn't been around for a long while online but I will sure as heck miss him.

BTW, he wasn't a Pacers fan he was a Lakers fan. But he always had a keen eye for the NBA & wasn't a bandwagon fan.

He & I always had a good time on both political boards as well even though we both disagreed a lot over issues.

This is truely a loss to this forum.

This is awful news. When I first encountered LZC I thought he was beyond obnoxious but as time went by I found that enjoyed the majority his posts regarding basketball and at the very least found something entertaining in the others. A fly in the ointment at times, yes, and good one to have around. R.I.P.

Excuse me, but FUC...oh...dammit!! This forum is my little escape from the death and brutality I have to deal with just about everyday. It's easy to forget sometimes there are faces behind these pseuodonyms. It hurts me to hear that Led isn't with us anymore and it hurts to think what his family will have to endure. I'm not a religious person, but I hold a sympathetic thought for Led and his family. I don't even know quite what to say, but every death, senseless as it may seem diminishes us all a little bit. Let this be a little lesson to everyone. I know it sounds corny and I don't care. Let the people in your life know how you feel about them. I F'ing mean it. Tommorow you could be gone. Have you said to them the things you should? I love every member of my family and I tell them on a regular basis, even if it embarrasses them. Really.

I hope everyone else does the same. I see too much death and pain. I'm truly saddened and heartfelt when I say this is horrrible news. We had our differences, but to hear that someone isn't with us anymore .., well, it bothers me.

    Dammit.

Got this from Doe at CrankyColts:

    Man killed in crash ID'd

A man killed Friday in a traffic accident on North Palm Avenue in west-central Fresno was identified Saturday as Anthony Duran, 42, of Fresno.

A spokeswoman for the Fresno County Coroner's Office said Duran was traveling south on Palm just north of Dakota Avenue when the car left the road and struck two parked cars. The accident was reported shortly before 8:30 a.m. Duran was declared dead at the scene.

I too pass along my condolences. Zep was a great member of this group and a fine contributor. He was a guy you could disagree with, but was always a gentleman. Sports fandom lost one of the good guys.
