Stop right there. It is laughable after tonight's performance to call George a HOF level player. You got off for 21 points in a quarter, then turns into mental midget the next because the refs aren't calling things in your favor. That is not a HOF level player. That is a Rudy Gay level player. He has absolutely no mental toughness. The Pacers don't lose tonight if they have a HOF level player on this team.
HOF players lose big games and blow huge leads Kobe is a future HOFer and his Lakers blew a 24 point lead at home vs the Celtics in the 2008 Finals. Magic, Bird etc (although I don't remember those games all that well but I heard enough)

Course he had 3 rings to fall back on but at that time it was how he couldn't win without Shaq.

That being said Kobe bounced back and won back to back championships.

I do agree Paul lacks mental toughness but I'm not writing off his entire career after one game.

No Game 7 was worse we had a legit shot of beating the Raptors.

Nobody thought the Pacers would beat the Cavs they made it appear competitive.

Nate McMillian making his case for the worst Pacers coach ever. This dude didn't call a time out at all in the 3rd qtr. He let Cleveland find and sustain their run. Every game in this series he has gotten progressively worse with his in game decision making. I'm not sure he can coach a worse game than this, but he will try in game 4.

We got steamrolled by a juggernaut in the 2nd half. Said force did not need the additional help they got from the refs in the form of being allowed to continually assault PG, but it was irrelevant anyway because we could not match their intensity. PG didn't help things by letting the physical play and officiating get into his head. As a team we didn't help things by not coming out of the half ready for the onslaught you knew would be coming. Did we really think the Cavs would just roll over? I hope we are completely demoralized because we deserve it.
I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.

This isn't about one game, or about blowing a lead. This is about how he always lets the refs take him out of a game. He is more worried about the refs than he is about winning. I never questioned Kobe's mental toughness. I'm also not commenting on Paul's future, I'm not seer, I don't know what Paul will do in the future, maybe he does learn mental toughness. I am only saying right now he is far from a HOF player.

He shows up the refs a lot. Refs don't like that. Paul doesn't seem to understand this.

Monta Ellis is dead to me, and after Nate let him continue to stay on the floor after he LITERALLY ran away from Lebron like a scared little girl, I'd rather have Jim O'Brien back as our head coach than go through another season of Nate McMillan.

are u suggesting pacers didn't call a timeout the whole third quarter? Or are u just thinking he should have called more. I'll bet you big money he did.

not a comment to you. But many who are criticizing Nate seem to think tackling a timeout solves all problems

I didn't see him call timeout to try and stop that run until it got to 5pts. I watched it go from 20 to 5. No time outs.

I thought sure he would when it got to 10pts in about 2 mins of game time. Nope...

I was more concerned that McMillan turned to Ellis instead of Teague in the 3rd quarter, and for some reason left Teague buried on the bench--who's our 2nd best player most nights.

As TJ says, you mean game 5. Last year's series was infinitely worse because we could have actually won that series.

Yeah tonight sucked and was embarrassing, but even if we would have won the game, we still would have had a 0% chance of winning the series. Ultimately, tonight didn't mean much aside from the fact that it would have felt nice in the heat of the moment.

Second half was perfect example of why Nate is ****ing trash. He had a couple lineups that worked first half, but no idea why they were working so he completely botched their flow second half and gave the wrong player in basically every lineup the ball.

And then he played Monta for like 8 minutes in the 4th while Thad sat for no apparent reason. Just truly incredibly inept ****.

Last year's game 5 was a 14 point blown lead on the road. Not a 25 point blown lead at home. And at least we actually won games last year.

Yeah but from start to finish last year, the Pacers clearly had opportunities to win that series. I don't focus on point differential as much as I do the grand scheme of things. The Pacers could have eliminated Toronto, but Game 5 cost them big. Yeah this game tonight was at home with a bigger point differential, but ultimately it means nothing. Had we won this game, we still would have had 0 chance of winning the series.

If we win Game 5 last year, we probably eliminate Toronto in Game 6 at home.

This silliness that Paul had no impact in the 3rd is absurd. He was a beast on the boards and had 4 assists. Just because he wasn't scoring doesn't mean he didn't have an impact.

Myles other than the dunk was again horrible.

Lance dominated the ball too much.

    Monta was Monta.

And Nate for some reason nuked Teague's and Thad's minutes for no apparent reason at all. Even though Teague was being defended by Deron Williams.

If I was a coach and you made this kind of effort or play, you'd be banished to the bench--no questions asked.

Does anyone think Greg Popovich would allow this play? Losing basketball.

If you really need a 21 year old like Myles Turner to come up big in the playoffs, then you're completely dead in the water. 21 year olds who produce in the playoffs are few and far between. Veterans win in the playoffs. There's a reason that Lebron wanted Love instead of Wiggins. The playoffs are all about experience and the mental game. Turner at the young age of 21 isn't cut out to compete against the champs in the playoffs.

Part of the reason last year's series went 7 games was coaching. Part of the reason this series is going to be a sweep is coaching.
