Twitter is already blowing up about who Paul George will blame next. Someone said Mayor of Indianapolis...

Remember when we could have gotten 1-2 solid players and a possible Top 3 draft pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by trading away Paul George?

We were up 10 and Nate puts Monta in and starts switching on defense so Monta was guarding Lebron. You just cant tell me this is not a blatant move to throw this game and the series. He's done this the entire series and when he didnt do it, we were up 26 points. I swear to God someone needs to investigate Nate McMillan. I'm not even joking about this.
haha. I couldn't believe Nate had Monta in the game instead of Teague. Horrible decision. He should have went with Teague and CJ but again didn't until the end of the game when it was too late.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

I am going to get roasted for asking this, but I will anyways:

Did anyone else feel like Paul George let the refs get in his head. Paul did not get a lot (a **** ton to be honest) of the calls, but I felt like he was out of his game a bit in the third and was just looking for contact.

When the TNT guys said the HC got the tech and not Paul I was hoping Paul would go off on a official and get a tech just to get it out of his system.

Not even close to the reason we lost, but an observation I made right after that technical foul was called

Well you can't blame him the refs will always side with LeBron.

I think PG often plays for the foul instead of finishing and getting fouled. Then whines. I like PG but he complains way to much.

I mean great players know how to get to the line and try to pad the lead, so I don't blame George for driving and looking for contact. Problem is, he couldn't buy a whistle in his own building.

    Few thoughts:

Embarrassing to blow a lead like that. I don't care who you are playing.

Lebron and PG are both damn good.

McMedium better start dusting off the CV and asking Bird for a reference.

This time last year I would have been REALLY torn up about this game. Oddly this game I am not. I expected this all year. I expected this when Larry fired Vogel. I stayed away from the Pacers all year. I didn't buy league pass. I didn't watch a complete game this year. Until Bird is fired the Pacers are in trouble. Until Bird is fired this is what the franchise deserves.
Then why are you here? To say I told you so? Irrelevant...

As someone pointed out in the game thread, Paul was entirely complicit in that collapse. Yes, his teammates and the team as a whole (including the coach) did little to nothing to help him, but his composure and projection were the exact opposite of leadership. You can complain about the officiating all day and there's plenty there to gripe about, but I don't see many other superstars completely unravel the way he does about officiating on a consistent basis. It's an easy scapegoat and not entirely without merit, but for f***'s sake just let it go sometimes and use that energy to rally your teammates instead.

I get being frustrated, but use it as motivation to raise your game. Reggie didnt get all the calls Jordan did, but I dont remember it taking it out of his game (granted I could be having revisionist history. That was a while ago)

I thought he had some legit calls. Especially on the drive when the ball went out on him....that no call was a game changer.

Reggie didn't win anything either. He also had much better teammates too.

You are judged by rings and while I do agree I find Paul George to have a beta mentality with superstar upside in the NBA unless you are a star of LeBron's level you will never get the benefit of the doubt.

Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

I dont agree. When your offense is relegated to "hold the ball for 18 seconds then run something" no one can succeed.

Now I guess you can argue he should have stepped up and been more aggressive.

I just cant put this one on one players. Its on the whole team. and a LOT of it is on the coaches

In PG's defense, he looked gassed by the end. Pacers lead evaporated so quickly that Pacers never gave him a breather. It's not like he wasn't matched up against LBJ for a large portion of the night either on both offense and defense. I thought he did about as much as he could. but Turner had the deer in the headlights look late, Lance lost his shot, Monta was being Monta, and Teague was buried on the bench.

Making the playoffs was the worst thing to happen to the Pacers.

We would've been so much better off not making it long term.

This game was lost in the 3rd quarter. We all saw it happening and knew it at the time. It would have been a good time for a ****ing timeout by Nate, or for PG to carry us through it.

    Unfortunately neither happened.

WTF. So because he never won a NBA championship he never won anything? I call BS.

It does sucks he didnt get the calls tonight. However, I would prefer he use it as positive energy

WTF was that all about!? Teague sat way too long in opinion. Then he rotated Ellis before him on the 4th.

IF you lose 3 straight close playoff games, do you think that is maybe a coaching issue?
