This is what I was saying before about our backup Big Man options.....no one is consistent. The majority of the time.....they are playing like crap....only once in awhile...they are great.

This is a Cleveland team at full strength that beat a 73 win record setting Golden State team after being down 3-1 last year, game 1 was a coin flip, and game two they were down by 4 with 2 minutes left

Wish it would have translated to at least one win, but I think their playing well

I have several complaints, but we've played the champs competitively for 2 away games.

    Come on man.

Of course they have better players, but some of the play calling on defense was batshit crazy.

Seriously? That led to the penultimate run that put the game out of reach. Not to mention the legion of other calls this game.

I think Teague is fine. The problem is you have Ellis next to him--making good $$$, which is just an awful pairing.
Our situation with Monta is horrendous- it's inflamed by the fact that we actually playing him. CJ, GRII, and Lance are all better options

That being said- Myles has to be better- but a good coach would know how to utilize him better offensively.

Our coach is horrible. That is exposed greatly in the playoffs.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

I'd wish that a sweep would convince Bird to pack it up, leave and trade PG13 while retooling around a different core.....but I doubt it.

Teague has to come back. Too hard to find a quality starting pg. Wouldn't mind starting GR3 next season at SG/PF with Paul George. CJ Miles needs to go. Never shows up in big games

People will rightfully **** on Myles's rebounding, but he had 4 more defensive rebounds than the PF Thad. It's a bad combo and since Myles is going to be around for the long term and will improve imo than you have to deal Thad for a bulldog 4/5 wherever you want to put Myles at.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

I'm still waiting on that big lineup with PG at the 2 and Thad at the 3.

I agree, he played as well as he has all season, but he won't be back next season. He will be too expensive and Bird has said he wants to go to "positionless" basketball. I think we will see a bigger back court than Teague and Ellis.
One can hope. Hopefully they will have strength and quickness too as that is what is needed to breakdown defenses.

There is a silver lining. CJ "sharp-shooter" Miles, is playing much better this year compared to last. He's becoming a playoff performer. He's nearly tripled his 3% from 10% all the way up to 28%.

They've got the two best players in the series and a shitload of 3 point aces (compared to our none). It is what it is. We're playing well considering how much better their roster is top to bottom than our disaster. Teague can't guard a hamster, but I appreciated his aggressiveness offensively. Turner is out to lunch and CJ is just playoff trash.

Don't hold your breath. I don't think he will give a big lineup enough time. He's old school and will continue to give his starters and I suppose Lance, the lion's share of the minutes. It doesn't matter how Seraphin performs.

Lance was sure effective guarding Love, huh? Some people were actually alleging Lance could check him in the post-game thread from game 1.

Bob Kravitz just asked if they'd switch up starting Monta... he said he'd look at it.

    Yeah Right.

I'm kinda surprised that a few of those late calls went against the Pacers, or that they were called at all. The 'entertainment' angle would've been to either let them play or go the Pacers' way and give the Pacers a better chance to close the gap. For one thing, they legitimately could've gone the other way to the Pacers, for another, they make the game go to the wire and even possibly extend the series (if the Pacers could've taken advantage), and make for a more compelling storyline heading to Indy 1-1.
Somebody's comment about covering the spread was eerily plausible.

It was never my idea, but I would try anything to win. The key though is that if it's not working you have to move to another idea pretty quickly. The issue with Nate is that he has very limited creativity. He looks nice in a suit along the sidelines but you might as well call up your accountant and have him out there. The result will be the same and I'm sure the accountant would cost less.

Did anyone ask him about letting Love post up on Lance/CJ 4-5 straight possessions? Or not having another ballhandler help PG when he was getting absolutely swarmed? I know the Cavs completely outmatch the Pacers, but Nate has been horrible.
