Our bench has been atrocious during the entire Paul George era. With Lance being a reserve, and running the second unit, our bench is awesome. No need to tinker with the effective bench
I agree he's been great for the 2nd unit, but I'm afraid the Cavs are going to destroy us on the boards. They're going to out shoot us from 3, and if they pound us on the boards too we have no chance.

    Pacers in 6.

Pacers steal game 1 and end the series at home in game 6.

It sounds like a homer prediction, but I truly believe the Cavs aren't getting out of the east this year. You need to do better than the 22nd ranked defense if you think you're a title contender. I also believe all the other teams in the East are very evenly matched (except Chicago). So I say, why not us?

I think people are underrating how crappy Cleveland has been playing recently. These dudes are tired, Lebron is getting older, and this team is flat out vulnerable.

22nd ranked defense. Someone is beating this team in the East, book it. If it isn't us, my money's on Washington.

They dropped back to back games to Atlanta for christ's sake.

I used to listen to this song all the time during the smashmouth era Pacers. So glad I can listen to it again and get as hyped as I did then.

I'd never wish injury upon a player, but I hope Love gets injured.
Don't worry, the Pacers will take their "tough pills" for him, I'm sure...

I expect to see some Lantics, but not directed toward lebron. JR Smith and Irving will be lances targets.

Lebron and Kyrie in 4 or 5.

The Cavs have appeared more vulnerable than they ever have. If there were ever a time to pull an upset, this would be it.

    Actually I take that back.

I've been down on this team and most of its pieces for most of the year. But that can wait until the off season.

Paul goes crazy for 40 at least once, Teague earns a big contract in the off season while making Kyrie his *****, and Lance averages the most talked about 8, 5, 5 stat line in playoff history as he manages to get under the skin of every Cavalier player, coach, announcer and fan.

Pacers in 6 with Paul yelling "this is my house" and Lance girating on the scorers table.

I'd be pumped about a series against Toronto or Washington given that PG is playing like one of the 3 best players in the league and these other pieces are gelling. Not saying we'd win by any means, but we could at least take it to the brink like last year. No way in hell does Lebron get anywhere near losing in the first round. Sucks, but we have no one to blame but ourselves for having such a miserable season save for the recent final stretch.

I'm pretty sure for this series we won't be relegated to NBA TV

Game 1 is on ABC LeBron vs PG is actually a pretty big draw, not to mention we just took them to double overtime on their home court on Lances first game back, and have not lost since then.

The head says Cavs in 6 or 7, but the heart really really really wants Pacers in 6.

I can't believe all the Nay-sayers who predict a Cavs Sweep or Cavs in 5. Fools, we have the BEST player in the East right now on our team! The other team is surely more talented, but not by much, if anything they have a basketball identity and run a system, which we really don't have.
But one thing that we have in our advantage is that Paul George is playing out of his mind and the only real way to defend him is to send a double team early. Which will open up the offense. Plus they do not have a huge sample size on what adding Lance has done to our team, so they can't film study this to death, he makes us unpredictable on offense. Teague is playoff tested, Turner will show up and battle. You just gotta hope that the role players show up and play loose.

You obviously can predict whatever you want. You can say the Cavs are not as good as last season. You can say a lot of things and be OK. But please, please, please, please don't suggest the Cavs are vulnerable because of how they played in the last 20 games or so of the season. They will look like a completely different team starting Saturday at 3:00. They will flip the switch

Turner's shot was really struggling last night, but he stayed aggressive (even after blowing a dunk attempt), and brought a lot of effort on defense and the boards. If he can bring that effort into this series and get close to his normal shooting range, I really like our chances.

We know PG is going to bring it on both ends. We know Lance is going to be a thorn in their sides. We know Teague will be good for 15 points and 7 assists. It's going to come down to what we get from Myles, Miles, Monta, and Seraphin. If they bring hustle, aggressiveness, and hit their open shots, this is a real series.
It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.
