I will root for Lance cuz he's on the Team.

We waive one of our ball dominant guards....have the chance to balance the roster more with adding whatever FA wing that can complement the existing roster. So, what do we do? Add another ball dominant guard that isn't effective playing off the ball....WHILE guaranteeing him a long term contract.

This is the last straw. I want Bird gone after he hands in his Mock Draft list for who to draft in the upcoming 2017 draft. The guy has no clue how to build a roster that complements each other.

The cap is not the same as salary floor, regardless, this is a super cheap contract in todays market. People need to stop worrying about his contract, we are paying Lavoy and CJ Miles 4 million. This is a low risk high reward move, if we can get the "good" Lance, aka, cutting, slashing for rebounds, and the "bad" Lance who thinks he can carry a team, it shouldn't hurt. With Bird's eyes on him, Lance might not make the same mistakes. Basically what's the harm ?

I'm so indifferent that I could care less about the signing at this point. But PD'ers have to stop with the good Lance thing.

Lance had a damn good final season in Indy. He's also had minimal success since (although he played well in Memphis). Teams have struggled to be willing to give him as much as a 10 day contract since then. You'd think there's a reason for that, no?

"Good Lance" was a few years ago. This is a guy that's been closer to being almost out of the league than a guy that was a starting two guard for back to back ECF teams.

I love when he sat in on the Heat huddle.

What's the next step up from a 10 day contract besides this deal? It's a 3 year deal in name only. It's the rest of this season, and next season guaranteed most likely.

10 day contract, or even two, doesn't finish the playoffs even if they're swept. Give him a contract to finish out the year and a team option for next season.

No playoff team is signing him besides the Pacers.

It will at least make the end of the season interesting.

Lance is technically going to get $4 million this season for playing 8 games. That's Andrew Bynum money right there.

Wondering if it'll make people feel better if LaVoy's option isn't picked up and you can then say next year you replaced LaVoy's 4 mil with Lance's 4 mil? Cause I'm guessing it's going to happen cause Tyler will probably be signed next year

I'm going to laugh if Lance plays well in the playoffs, raising his stock, and then he bolts again.

The crazy part, I would actually start him to add size, rebounding, and attitude to the starting 5....Ellis, Miles, and GR3 is some good offense coming off the bench.
Start Lance and have him play his 2012-13 role.

I can't believe some people still haven't grasped that we did not sign Lance Stephenson for 3 more seasons after this one. Its just funny at this point.

Lets all just ignore than year 1 only had 8 games left and that we can cut him after year 2.

Larry got this one right imo, you want someone to push the pace? Check. You want fire and passion? Check. You want to make PG happy? Check. This might just be the kick in the *** we need.

It should be much easier for him to steal rebounds this time around.

He's probably talking about online matches where the roster mirrors the NBA.

Remember when we could have gotten 1-2 solid players and a possible Top 3 draft pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by trading away Paul George?

It's an unusual scenario to sign someone to a multi-year contract this late in the season.

2012-13 when his role was defense and the 5th option on offense. Not 2013-14.

Welcome back Lance! We finally got our heart back!

And a three year deal so we'll have his Bird rights if it works out.

For the people so upset by this move, if PG pushed for it does it change your mind? Because I don't think there's a chance he didn't have a say.
