Pacers continue the win one, lose one trend. That makes 14 and 16 is the record.

Welcome back. We can use a little positive energy on this board.
Larry Bird qouted March 25th. 2015:

Bird: I wanted to keep our group together because in the summer, if David and Roy opt out, we're back to zero, really. We don't have that much, so you leave your options open. If we did make a trade, I didn't want to take on a lot of contracts -- because that's what usually happens. Plus, I liked my guys. They're playing well. If we keep the core together and Paul comes back healthy, we'll be right back to where we were.

"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

There are a lot of good defenders in this league, but man, you've got think Gobert is at the top of the list in the DPOY conversation. Talk about intimidating.

Pacers have the 5th best defense since the break, one of the top 3 pt shooting teams as well. How is this translating to .500 ball!

Years ago everyone gave me **** on this board for being so high on Hayward in the draft. Most of you thought his ceiling was Mike dunleavy!

Today it's a legit argument that he is better than PG13. He has a complete game. What is his actual weakness? Quickness on defense?

Not enough points, we are just too inconsistent on offense,

Defense and passing relative to Paul. Would be sweeet to have both on the Pacers. Not going to happen though. Gordon is stronger than PG. Is not knocked off his drive as easily as PG.

Pacers will be a different team come playoff time. Don't expect a winning streak these last games. Pacers are finishing under 45 wins.

This may be Paul's city, but there's plenty of room for Hill and Hayward if they want to come back.

To be honest though lol, which SF in this league isn't stronger than PG?

Apparently he changed his mind because he refused to repeat what he said in the post game interview.

    Tough schedule

many figured during this stretch of games .500 ball was not possible

They hit a higher percentage of 3s but on lower volume. They also can't rebound, play through physical play or find a way to win on the road.

Even though I haven't been able to keep up with every game this season, I've managed to watch a lot still and I am having fun watching the team this year. I think some big changes are necessary, but I still like the core of this group.

I love Thad off the bench for 20-some minutes per game, with a stronger/physical big next to Myles. Let's try to move Al and Stuck (Pains me to say this for Stuckey, but may his game RIP) during the off-season for anything (including cap, "hey Philly, you guys want a 2nd rounder?") and make some slight shakeups to the roster. I'd also love to keep 3J Miles if possible, but who knows if that could actually happen for reasonable money.

Anyway, really looking forward to this last stretch and the postseason. I'm not sure if I should expect the same PG as last season or not, but I think we really will need that guy unless some others play well beyond how they've performed this season.

DD was sitting court side. If he's saying that PG said the same thing that we said he was saying up in Club Level, then PG probably said it.
