Pacers played with much more energy tonight. Myles had a better game tonight with 5 assists. Would love to see this team with a really good pf or power center.
Miami won tonight and they will make the playoffs

Reason why it was stupid not to pickup Terrence Jones or somebody else just in case (Scola?)

Good win. If we played with that kind of energy every game we would be dangerous. Would like to see Turner get more shots up but he was very active.

Very. I'm not really complaining, but I just don't understand why players are still guarding him tight and allowing him to drive left (as Harris did in the first half). Surely the scouting report on Young right now is "back the **** off and let him shoot the jumper!"

Anyway, good win. Milwaukee on Friday is crucial.

Even if he does drive, any scouting report should be to play him physical with that injury. He's only shooting 53% from the line this season, and I think it's been even worse since his wrist got hurt.

We still have time to pick up someone that is eligible for the Playoffs.

When is the deadline to bring someone in and still have them eligible for the playoffs?

It worked out fine last night because Detroit luckily missed open shots, but I can't understand for the life of me why we're back to playing Lavoy and Al at the same time.

They had Baynes, Tobias, and Morris out there at the same time. We were scrambling so much switching they got open shot after open shot. How Christmas isn't getting Al's minute I have no idea.

That said, last night is the first game I can remember all season where PG got an in game extended rest because we were winning by so much.

It's not luck. They don't have anyone that can make open shots.

We match up horribly with Indiana. They dont guard the three point line which forces us to attempt shots we can't make.

I get it, I know you guys aren't a good shooting team. But you shot 26% last night and average 33%, we're lucky it didn't go the other way.

Feels like we are compelled to play AL because of the investment in him - I cannot see the basketball reason at this point. At no point during his absence did I think 'wow, we miss dumping the ball in the post'. But since his return I have repeatedly thought 'wow, we miss a big willing to contest shots and compete on the glass'

You would think the next 4 games for the Pacers - all against teams below in the standings - would be easier, but our current record against these 4 teams is 2-8.

It doesn't help that Jackson put zero pressure on the defense. He had a size advantage and didn't even look to get the ball to the rim

The next 7 games should give a good indication as to where the team is

It looked like Jackson could get by Teague whenever he wanted, but seemed like he was more focused on Stan Van Gundy and proving a point then beating his man.

    Exactly.

For some reason we play the guys that are paid more unless the lower salaried guys play GREAT. Even if it is a noticeable improvement, they stick with the higher paid players.

I agree, but we've said that before and whether we win 7 straight or lose 6 straight it seems the team is what it is a slightly, very slightly above .500 team.

A few bad losses during this stretch could put the Pacers on the outside of the playoff race. On the flip side, a few unexpected wins could help the team move into Atlanta's spot.

None of the upcoming games should prove to be a daunting task. But we've thought that often and have been up and down as you mentioned

Just wish Pacers didn't have the Bucks twice more. That seems like one of our toughest matchups and they are playing well again. Something about their defensive style that makes the pacers give in and get frustrated.

Looked at the Bucks schedule the rest of the season. They have a tough 6 game west coast road trip coming up. If pacers can split with them, I don't see them catching the Pacers. The Heat has an easier schedule, so they are more likely a bigger threat.
