What do you think you're getting for Myles? I'm just curious.
I don't know, and I don't think the Pacers would entertain any trades for Myles, but it's there. A Myles-CJ McCollum deal with fillers/picks makes some sense for both teams.

For a 20 year old averaging 15, 7 and 2 blocks a game while shooting over 50% from the field? A lot. Like 5 guys ever have averaged numbers like Myles has this year at the age of 20.

We've had way too many games this year where we've played most, or all of, the game with no fire. IMO that's on the coach. I understand there's gonna be some nights where it's just not gonna happen but he is the one that's supposed to be motivating his team. Between that, his love affair with Ellis and Al, and his absolute hatred of timeouts, he's gotta go. We need a different "new voice". And I don't mean Dan Burke, Popeye, Beano, etc.

ok so my next question would be

    Why would we trade him?

JMO, I think MT has hit the "Soph Wall" and we have no one to help him thru it. It also seems his teammates have stopped trying to get him involved and set up get good looks. Maybe the Coaching staff is souring on him a little? All I see is he is much less a factor in our offense than I expected him to be.

Because he's 20 and you need a guy who is an all star now, but I think the Pacers are banking on Myles being an all star next year so my guess is they stand pat essentially and hope the team cooks into a nice stew. I'm guessing that is why Larry stood pat at the deadline either way.

To be clear: I think trading him would be a big mistake. I'm just saying if the Pacers feel desperate to put a win now team around PG, then trading Myles for a guy who is ready to help now is an option.

Just me....but I'd rather build around Myles than PG13. I just don't feel like he wants to be here for the long term. We could still trade Myles and PG13 could still bolt....short of him making the All NBA Team or whatever to get that huge@ss bump in Contract.

With 20 million dollar gap in salaries, it is not easiest to pull out.

...but given Trail Blazers luxury tax-hell, you might get Crabbe for free if you have salary room next summer (for free = for a single 2nd-rounder)

He has been overloaded with minutes and responsibilities this season. FO seemed to see his potential and decided we don't need a security valve-starter (like Mahinmi was) anymore. They failed to see his physical immaturity - he was ready for task for 40-50 games, but not for full season. AlJeff was exactly the wrong back-up as he fails to give a) defense b) extended minutes

Trading Myles would be monumentally stupid IMO he just has way too much upside, of course so did Lance at this point and he spiraled but I think Myles has a much better head on his shoulders. I also do not want them to trade PG. Do not panic this team has a ton of potential, yes we need to get rid of Monta and probably need a really good sg. But GRIII is developing nicely and I think both him and Myles will be better next year. If they trade Monta for just about anything and get a better coach this team would be dangerous next year.

Of course what I expect to happen is for Bird to trade half the roster since he seems to love to do that rather than let our team gel. No championship team has ever won the first year they were together, they need time to work through it.

You keep Turner. He will be the reason PG stays.

Don't we have Popeye as our big man Coach? I don't remember him being much of an offensive player, but I've slept a time or 2 since his playing days. Miles needs, IMO, better competition to work against in practice, better rotation player fro in game time to get him some rest and some teaching from a former or current 'star' caliber center. I don't see him working against Al Jeff, Lavoy or Christmas growing his game much. Can somebody tell MT that when he has the ball passed to him 12-15 feet from the basket, his only option is to shoot the ball until some body stops him from shooting.

He's playing himself into an affordable contract for us.
Yay, we're going back to the playoffs! I hope
