Pacers execute their offense and Rockets died by the three.

I didn't watch the game.....why did we win? On the Road? Against the Rocket? On a Monday?

    That would be an understatement!

There was a time in the first quarter where the bench was in, and scored 15 of our first 20 points.

Rockets don't really play a good enough defense to stop the Pacers and are rather overrated IMO but still beating a Western Conference team on the road is rather rare for the Pacers.

Xmas played. Don't know his stats. He scored at least twice. Got on the floor a little, took up space in a good way. Looked like he belonged.

If Christmas goes back to DNP: CD's I'm going to be irate.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Christmas is fairly mobile and gets out to the perimeter reasonably well. His game is in and around the basket. PG was in foul trouble all night.
Good team effort. Houston may be one of those teams that does not match up well with the Pacers.

Monta, Stuckey, christmas, Lavoy and the fit brought the team back from been down 18.

Not only that but their energy was amazing, they played D, got deflections, they did everything.

I do think it's time (at least for this year) to stop calling CJ inconsistent. He's a top 10 3 ball shooter in the NBA this year. Sometimes I love this team. Other times...not so much. Tonight we looked like a top 3 team in the East after the first 6 mins. Thad has shot 39% from 3, CJ 42%, GR3 39%. Shooters around Teague, PG and Turner is what we wanted right?

(And our bench playmakers of Monta and Stuckey showed up big tonight)

And Thad is doing what he can but it's obvious his wrist is still an issue.

Credit where credit is due: Nate found a second unit that worked and stuck with it.

Pacers once again flirting with that .500 record but fail to seal the deal.

Really loving what Ellis is giving us off the bench, not only is he scoring well but dishing the rock well along with it.

Physical teams will push the Pacers around. That team is not Houston. Pacers are a bad match up for them.

Pacers are actually 6th in the league in 3FG%. The problem is they are 28th in 3FG attempts. Not enough bench shooters.

It's unreal reading the reactions to Christmas. I've been advocating giving him playing time for a year and most of what I've read is he isn't very good. He still looks uneasy out there but I think most of that is nerves, he's moving the way he did with the Ants which is what I wanted to see. Christmas is not going to be our savior but he's ready to contribute and the way he moves around the basket brings and element that we've lacked. I hope he can develop to become our pf of the future. I'd rather see Christmas as our backup pf right now.
Larry Bird qouted March 25th. 2015:

Bird: I wanted to keep our group together because in the summer, if David and Roy opt out, we're back to zero, really. We don't have that much, so you leave your options open. If we did make a trade, I didn't want to take on a lot of contracts -- because that's what usually happens. Plus, I liked my guys. They're playing well. If we keep the core together and Paul comes back healthy, we'll be right back to where we were.

Best intensity I've seen all year. Loved the bench, Christmas needs to stay in the lineup.

Lavoy has been very good in the last month or so. He seems much more engaged these days and strengthening our gigantic weakness in rebounding.

Also, I would keep Christmas in the rotation and definitely try to ship out Jefferson in the off-season.

I just don't see how Nate can possibly make the decision to go back to Al after seeing the impact that Rakeem has had.

For certain matchups? Sure. If Rakeem gets in immediate foul trouble? Of course. If he seems to have a game where he just looks WAY out of his element from the get go? Yeah.

But aside from those circumstances, if I'm Nate, Al is on DNP / end of game bench clearing duty.

I like him a lot. Always have. But sadly, other than one or two games where he had some nice offensive punch that helped us stay afloat, he's been a total bust.

Give the young, athletic, hungry for opportunity guy his shot.

55-39 on the boards. Yeah, I'll take that.

Happy to see Christmas coming around. Hopefully he can be more consistent than Seraphin, maybe that's what will finally take Al Jeff out of the rotation.

Monta and Stuckey were really excellent tonight.
