I was pumped to see PG return to form in the playoffs following last season. Came into this season really optimistic that PG/Teague/Turner would be a legitimately good trio.

And what have we seen? To me, I feel like Paul has been uninterested. We're not getting the effort from Paul. It's not $200mil worth of effort.

So, maybe it's not the way we wanted things to go. But if we can get Boston, or whoever, to pay an actual king's ransom while we can get it - I think we should take it. Our 2017 pick obviously isn't getting the deals done, and the guys we have on this roster outside of Myles aren't great trade chips. Get something for Paul while we can.

this has way more to do with the offseason than the deadline. letting teams know to get their ducks in a row.
Could be trying to get Boston to make their best offer now as well.

All he has to do is make one all-NBA team this season or next.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

I'm a huge fan of the draft...I'd kill for more than 1 first round pick in a draft.

I'm guessing PG has told Larry to take calls. PG knows what he's doing. This is not Indina's call, it's Paul's. If Paul wants to leave at least he's speaking up unlike all the other stars that left for nothing.

We just don't have anyway to improve this roster for him. We can instantly rebuild by dealing him. We'll be a better team with what we get in return. Young guys who are gonna play hard.

I think Larry is realizing the mess he's made with the team and having no assets besides 3 players and that's making him question if PG is really the guy he wants to go with. The fact that Golden State and Cleveland are so much better are you really going to beat them in next couple seasons making some minor move that gets rid of your draft pick to get cheap talent locked up for a long time.

not gonna happen this year, short of injury don't see any reason for that to change the next.

Lakers got a way crappier offer unless they keep their pick this year which is about 50/50 and that's a gamble you can't take.

Crowder + Bradley + Brown + 17 Nets pick + 18 Nets pick is the starting point I make as Larry. You can also give them CJ and make them take Al or Monta.

Also, if they offer PG the mega contract the Pacers can't offer it to Myles when he becomes a free agent, i know it's not for a long time but it would be before PG's 5 year contract is up.
Myles probably won't be eligible. He has a shot, but that creek is a long way off right now.

Ingram though, he is going to be nice and makes it easier to swallow the trade.

I've learned never to doubt Woj, but this does seem like something Ainge would float to get Chicago to blink first.

I'm thinking Ingram, Russell, Nance, picks for PG.

Only guy with star potential is Ingram.

edit: Teague, Russell, Ingram, Nance, Turner?

Any Lakers deal almost completely falls apart when you consider that their first round pick goes to Philly unless they pick in the top 3. And if you trade PG there, they are probably going to be good enough to make the odds of that one go down even more. Just a complete non-starter for me.

Wonder if they could make a trade or 2 to get picks though.

No way Boston does that. Choose three of those items and you probably have a deal.

Definitely have to start out asking for a lot, but too much will get you cut off...
