Too bad we didn't tell Venezuela what to do, maybe they could have avoided their Bernie Bro turning a once rich nation into a burnt out socialist dictatorship paradise.

I guess being thousands of miles away and protected by our **** system while your countrymen are ran over by tanks with their system gives one a platform to spout nonsense. Tell me more about a straight democracy right after your democracy gets trashed.

I really don't think you know the meaning of "socialism" LOL

And yes the US has been telling Venezuela what to do forever too bad the Alex Jones channel won't teach you that.

Yeah the leader of the "united socialist party" really isn't socialist because you said so.

I'd say you should tell murado he's not a real socialist but you'd probably get a bullet to the skull as a reward.

It always gives me a good chuckle when socialists defend shithole socialist countries as not being real socialism.

    But Alex Jones I guess.

At least our **** system gives you the comfortability to give your opinion, without fear of being murdered by said system.

Yeah you shouldn't be commenting on something you have no idea about (fox news is not a good media source).

And his name is Maduro lol

I don't watch Fox but even if I did and I was wrong you have the platform to point out my error. Instead you've tried attributing my comments to Alex Jones.

Ill go back to laughing at your political posts in silence because you're clearly over your head.

Thanks for the spelling lesson though.

You really haven't disproved or argued against anything he's said, you've just said "lol Alex Jones"... Not sure you can do that while saying he doesn't know what he's talking about and look credible.

He is just repeating bs from Fox news and others there is not point for me to teach him what is actually going on in Venezuela for what?

It would take hours for me to explain the situation and at the end he is going to tell me "socialism" = "dictatorship = "communism" = "ISIS", I have been there and done that and I don't feel like doing it today.

And this thread is not about Venezuela anyways.

If I could grant your wish, I would do it. But think about it. Look around at cities run by liberal mayors. They are absolute cesspools filled with crime and poverty. That will be your reality when the rich in California move to another state. They certainly will not want to continue to pay for more and more government programs that do everything from feed you by hand to wipe your butt.

But go ahead. I'll even pitch in $10,000 personally to wave good bye to California. Just be sure to take Vermont, Massachusetts and Illinois with you.

I just don't see a reason for the Electoral College to exist in modern society. it's not an issue of streamlining voting or anything, we're FAR behind the times in that regard, but counting votes isn't a problem. we went 110 some odd years where it all made sense. now we've had two presidents in my voting lifetime lose the popular vote but win the presidency.

I simply don't see how anyone, regardless of affiliation, can think a candidate literally getting less votes from the American people than his/her opponent should be something we just gloss over because he/she won Pennsylvania or Ohio. I can do every sort of banking through my phone, I can renew my license/plates through my phone, I can file my taxes through my phone. you want a representative democracy? stop making people have to leave work in the middle of a Tuesday, and if they're lucky, not have to wait in line for hours. voting shouldn't have to be something you have to plan your day around. why is voting for national elections a single day? and yes I know you can vote early, you and I both know the people who do that are not the people [read: American citizens who should be voting] I'm talking about.

and personally, we'd have a HELLUVA lot more representation on the actual left. but that'd just be an added benefit. if it goes crazy *** pull yourself up by the bootstraps what about black on black crime alt-right so be it. just. get. turnout. up.

I would be perfectly fine with eliminating the electoral college. But you have to have nationwide voter ID if you do that.

Also, while not realistic, I would love to see what would happen if the liberals took half of the country and the conservatives took the other half. How each side would fair. I think I know exactly what would happen.

The President is President of The United States. It's not a direct democracy. If you want to do away with the Electoral College, then we might as well go all the way and just get rid of states all together. We shouldn't have a Senate either because after all, it's not fair that California and Wyoming each have two Senators.

You wouldn't be saying this if it didn't favor your side TWICE.

If Algore had lost but still became the President and Hillary had lost and still became the President you would be telling us about how this country is so messed up and how we need to change all that, you guys keep winning even though you lost so you are OK with it (even though 2 clowns got elected because of it).

If your opinion is that America has one of the worst political system in the world then you're too ignorant about the rest of the world to have any opinion that should be taken seriously.

He's talking about fox like it's any type of serious rebuttal to what I've said. Anyone with any knowledge of current events about Venezuela knows what I've said is true.

V knows it that's why he's stuck with repeating stupidity about Alex Jones. He can't refute anything with substance just blind dart tossing.

I'm not saying America is perfect but it's thousands of times better than 90% of the world. Unless food shortages to the point that padlocks are installed on personal refrigerators are now thought of as successful, then yeah.....

It just cracks me up that he gets the direct benefits of our system while others literally starve to death because of political turmoil. It's the silver spoon in the mouth rich kid whining about how he got a 2010 BMW instead of a new one. Only the whiner use to have to sleep in a Ford Taurus growing up.

A little perspective about how great we have it even with the Trump circus is needed when stupidity is argued seriously.

You already said it yourself their are "protesting" now tell me in what "dictatorship" you can freely protest? I'll be here waiting

Also I think Maduro is a piece of **** and needs to get out but he was elected by the majority and got over 60% of the popular vote not some bs electoral college crap.

And to explain the picture you are gonna have to check the whole video, the people "protesting" were trying to lynch a police officer and to protect him the guy on the truck ended up accelerating and running not only over that guy but also over the motorcycle and the police officer he was trying to protect. There is also an strategy used by this "protesters" by throwing paint bombs to this trucks windows so they can't see ****, what do you think is going to happen if they can't see ****?

I have family members on both side and I know how it is, matter of fact I have a cousin right now in Caracas "protesting" openly every single day and she haven't been shot or arrested because she is not trying to kill police officers like some of the other guys.

Here is one of the many protest signs that are all over the country, again not dictatorship would allow this type of **** to happen, ever.

Dozens of protesters were injured and a 27-year-old man killed Wednesday during another day if violent clashes in Venezuela's capital as angry demonstrators demanded elections.

National guardsmen launched tear gas and a group of armed pro-government militiamen harassed protesters as they tried to march to the Supreme Court.
    Free protesting!
At least 93 people were injured in Caracas and demonstrator Miguel Castillo was killed. Authorities also announced that Anderson Dugarte, 32, died from a gunshot wound he suffered Monday at a protest in Merida. The voilence pushed the death tollto at least 39 in more than a month of street protests and political turmoil.
    Free protests!

"These kids live in a dictatorship, they have no other option but to protest."
Demonstrators contend Nicolas Maduro's socialist (my comment: socialist!? Oh noes!) government has become an authoritarian regime responsible for triple-digit inflation, widespread food and medical supply shortages and soaring crime.

Numbers revealed this week by Venezuela's health ministry show how severe an impact the crisis is having on the nation's well-being; the figures show infant mortality soared by 30 percent during 2016, and maternal mortality by a shocking 65 percent.
Maduro has dismissed the opposition as a violent far-right -- supported, he says, by the U.S --
intent to remove him from power.

Protestors marching in downtown Caracas chanted: "who are we? Venezuela! What do we want? Freedom!" Militiamen approached, all dressed in dark colors with pieces of clothing covering their faces. About three carried guns.

The protesters fled, screaming in fear.
1300 people have been details detained, not including 250 civilians who have been presented before military tribunals.

The guy who screams Alex Jones now defending a murderous dictator.

    You've taken the cake.
