Hillary obviously was a horrific candidate, but Obama deserves big blame too. Obama left the Democratic Party in shambles. His policies simply can't win unless he is on the ballot box. The Democrats got smoked in 2010, 2014, and 2016 at the national and state levels with Obama in office. Once taking office, the only successful election in the Obama era was 2012 when he got re-elected. This tells us that Obama largely won because of his charm, historic presence, pop culture status, and abstract populism that he represented. When his policies were put on the ballot without him running, they got smoked. Thus, his policies simply never could win on the merits. They were rejected time and time again when he wasn't running. Obama can win, but his policies can't.
Which policies specifically do you think can't win or are contingent on the charisma and personality of Barack Obama? I don't think he strayed too far from the Democratic platform on most things.

You are very much enjoying the GOP's return to power, as you should, but politics is cyclical. Historically, whichever party holds the presidency takes a hit in the midterms and such. I suspect the same thing will happen in 2018 and 2020 with the Democrats. Just the nature of the beast.

Horrible. Too bad Trump/Flynn won't get the same covering by the press the Obama/Lerner did though. Govt cover ups with the media participating is so 2013.
    But Hillary...

Her too. Bryan Pagliano pleaded the 5th. But I'm guessing Flynn isn't going to be treated like him either.

When you Google him to know who I'm talking about, watch the video of him exercising his 5th amendment right 125 times in a single hearing.

Maybe Flynn can do a Lerner and give a statement declaring himself innocent and the victim of a witchhunt first. That would really send everyone into a tizzy.

Especially when we have never seen a President this unqualified, lazy, and untruthful. Dems lost so many seats during Obama era because of all the propaganda and negative adds about Obamacare. Now, the majority of the country sees just how much they have benefited from it and don't want to lose it especially considering that the GOP proposed plan is nothing but a tax break for the rich. People are passionate about their healthcare and GOP's refusal to compromise along with continuing to stand behind an all time corrupt President will be their undoing. Obamacare is waaay more popular than Trump is right now. Political suicide the fact that they won't drop the repeal talk.

I pray the Democratic Party continues to share your dismissive attitude. Blaming defeat on propaganda bogeymen instead of acknowledging that policies like Obamacare are unpopular and failed on the merits is why the Democrats have been slaughtered at the ballot box since 2010. Now Republicans might very well squander their opportunity as they historically never miss an opportunity to miss an opportunity, but we do know that Obamacare was completely rejected time and time again at the ballot box. It's the main reason for the nasty Democrat defeats in 2010, 2014, and 2016. Republicans just keep on winning at the national and state levels.

Fox news polls or information don't count, fact is Obamacare is very popular, hell is even more popular than the Orange agent LOL

Problem is Trump voters hate Obamacare and love the ACA because they don't know the difference (shocking I know)

    example:

    Also
As the law faces*possible repeal and replacement by Republicans, a new poll from the Pew Research Center shows that the ACA's popularity is soaring and has hit its highest point since it was passed.
54% of respondents in Pew's survey said they approve of the law, with just 43% disapproving. This is better than the 48% approve, 47% disapprove margin from December 2016.

Fox News polls don't count, but repeatedly getting destroyed in national and state elections does.

Winning the popular vote by 3 millions is not getting destroyed, also the orange agent won the electoral vote by a margin of 80k votes, that is anything but getting destroyed.
