Bird was probably like "I got Stuckey and Lavoy if you want it" lol

They said on ESPN Ibaka and Lowry both have the same agent/representation. So that probably factored into Toronto taking the gamble.

If Fournier or Vucevic are available we need to get them.

I'd be interested in Fournier, however Pacers got nothing to offer and no on giving up another 1st round pick (maybe on a 2018 pick)...need the cheap young talent.

Hard no on Vucevic, he's just a worse Myles Turner (better on boards but no rim protection)...need a bruiser next to him.

"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Man that Orlando trade to get Ibaka over the summer was so stupid. I'd see if they wanna give Hezonja away, they're not playing him at all.

Only guys I want from Orlando are Fournier and Gordon.

Also it looks like Orlando is going into full rebuild mode and Vogel has like 5 years left with them

I'd give up a 2018 1st or a 2019 1st. Vucevic is an upgrade over Al Jefferson. The idea was to slide Seraphin to the backup center. Make Vucevic the back up 4.

I do not want any trades right now. Wait for draft and free agency.

If we need shooters there are plenty available at the deadline.

Nick Young and Lou Williams (LAL)
Ben McLemore and Aaron Afflalo (SAC)
Wes Matthews and Seth Curry (Dallas)
    Tim Hardaway Jr. (ATL)
    Wilson Chandler (DEN)
    Dion Waiters (MIA)

Yeah I mentioned that in another thread. I'd go and get Melo if I were Larry but that NTC makes it difficult. He'd have to waive it. But now it looks like Orlando is keeping Vucevic? I'd probably try and engage the Lakers for Nick Young, Lou Williams, or Jordan Clarkson. Or the Suns or Bledsoe.

Maybe i'm wrong, but this is glaring evidence that Bird does not think this team will be competing this year. If he did, we could easily top that deal the Raptors gave Orlando without losing much at all. Either he doesnt think we are competing this year or maybe he doesnt think he can re-sign him, Paul and Jeff Teague which might be more likely, but still, if we were close to competing, wouldnt he go for it? Ibaka would be a huge help at PF.

Bledsoe? Dont we have enough guys who need the ball and are undersized and cant defend the SG spot? I dont like any of the names. I do like Dion Waiters if the price is right because atleast he'll bring some fire to this team.

OK, our first round draft pick and who is comparable to Ross who is IMO a young veteran, but keep in mind he makes $10M per year and has two years left on his deal. Who do we have like that? No one I know, plus Frank Vogel knows all of our players better than anyone. Frank is not going to take Monta. Robinson doesn't make any $$.

So I don't think you should draw such large conclusions.

I'm still hoping for Melo, Pacers get that guy and they have a chance Vs Cleveland

Bledsoe at backup PG for this team would be great. But Dragic would as well.

Good trade and call by the Raptors. The Cavs became very vulnerable once Love went down, and I thought the Raptors really only needed a better starting PF. Plus, (and I don't know how) the Raptors had slid from 2nd to 5th in the East, so they were looking for some additional help.

Well Larry has to go for it between now and the Summer. Paul would just ask for a trade if he doesn't see the FO doing anything.
