Looks like a decent depth signing.
It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.

I don't think Simon is depth, probably a starter barring the draft. He seems to be getting a lot of praise from people who covered him, 3.5 sacks last season and 5 the year before, and with all the depth Houston has at OLB that's not bad at all. He's always graded out positive vs the rush, and has continuously improved his pass rushing skills. I like the signing considering the value.

In other news, Jabaal Sheard is visiting the Colts. Played OLB for the Pats, has racked up 13 sacks over the past couple seasons.

We cut Patrick Robinson. Thank goodness, terrible signing.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Getting rid of Grigson's smelly trash.

^^ He'll need a few dumpsters for that.

Grigson was like the neighborhood dog. Comes over, drops one on your lawn and goes away.

We've signed Jabaal Sheard, pretty good signing. Between Simon and Sheard that's two solid OLB's.

Sheard got a 3 year 25 million dollar deal.

the Colts handed out ~1500 doses of Toradol in about 4 1/2 months

I just want to point this out. There is a significant difference between Toradol and more intense pain killers like Vicodin and such. So this number dont really shock me.

Ya I like what Ballard is doing so far. Not breaking the bank. Getting solid guys. If there is a big move that comes available maybe he does it, but he's not going nuts. I like it a lot.

I like it. One of the better players available after D1 according to PFF.

Colts need to re-sign Butler ASAP. Even if its for a one or two year deal.

TJ Green was horrible last year. No way in hell do I want him starting next year.

Ya re-sign him and shove him at saftey. We need it. He'll probably be real good there.

Dontari Poe is visiting tomorrow, he'd be a huge get and instantly become one of the top players on our defense. If we can seal the deal tomorrow, adding Sheard, Simon, and Poe would really do a good job of improving our front 7. We'd still have the money to add another impact player too even if we give Poe a big contract.

Love it. I hope we sign him. I know he has some back questions, but maybe an offseason of health and he comes in healthy. I really love this move. And it opens up a ton of draft potential.

I like the idea of a player like Poe on the line of scrimmage but his production & play seem to have been sliding the last two years. Honestly think he could turn into one the worst over pays in this free agent class.

Did anyone see what Erik Walden tweeted last night?

He said "It's clear they rather have puppies than dogs".

Another contract in this free agent class that likely won't be a good investment. I appreciated his play more than most since he became a Colt but would definitely support Ballard passing on him at what will likely be the market price...

Walden is definitely gone. Is his replacement good?

What an embarrassment. Wonder if we will be cut over this.
Edit: quote didn't work, but I'm referring to David Parry.

Sheard has been better than Walden his entire career. Simon is a wild card, he's always been good in the playing time he's gotten but this is his first chance to start. Wouldn't surprise me if he's better than Walden though.
