Poe is now visiting Atlanta, and apparently will make his FA decision after that. For the record, some source in Atlanta said that while they really want Poe, it's unlikely they're going to get a deal done.

Falcons only have around $15 million in cap (correct me if I'm wrong). Not sure that's enough cap to sign him.

But he's young in football years. He didn't start playing football until he was 22 (if I did the math right).

As a longtime lurker in PDs basketball section, it's really strange feeling to know, that in your favourite NBA basketballcity has one fellow estonian playing professional ball. He was our hope for the future gold medalist in the olympics back in the day. But then, thanks to scolarship issue, he found out football and after knowing, that this is he's best chance of securing hes family long term, he made a decision for football. I really hope, that he will get a chance with your beloved Colts. He's a hard worker, thats for sure.

Why not though? I dont blame him. We had a shot to make a major offer and we didnt for whatever reason. You either trust Ballard or you dont.. I trust him. So let him go now.

Did some research, Miami apparently doesn't have a lot of cap space left and they're already paying Suh 19 per year. I'd be surprised if that's his landing spot. If this is his last visit, I like our chances.

Maybe he had these visits planned all along, or maybe his asking price is too high. It's likely to be one of those two scenarios.

I'm excited to see some of these new players. I wish I understood football like I do basketball so I could get a good feel for the team.

He is starting to seem desperate, sounds like his value is not as high as he wants it right now.

I imagine the Colts made him a decent offer but he wants more, and that is fine, but teams might start pulling offers off the table, and he could end up taking a lot less than he initially had.
    Why so SERIOUS

Expensive guys in free agency rarely pan out for the team. I'm alright taking a pass on Poe.
There are two types of quarterbacks in the league: Those whom over time, the league figures out ... and those who figure out the league.

Right, it's common sense but free agents are generally free agents for a reason

I legitimately think part of Ballard's FA plan is to look at draft busts that are still relatively young (Mingo and Hunt in a sense) hoping that Pagano's magic can turn them around.

Bostic and Spence are both busts.

I think his plan is to build depth and hope one of these guys step up or maybe pick aother star out in FA or draft. I love the depth we are building atm. I like it a lot. He's doing great right now. I cant wait for draft. I have to believe it is defense.

This feels very much like a "moneyball" approach by Ballard.

I don't think we'll only get defense with the draft, but I like how we're trying to build depth. We've got too many holes on defense to only be filled by the draft. We'll have a nice mix of vets and rookies this year, which hopefully will be expanded next year. It's going to take a couple years, unfortunately.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Maybe it seems he's just being cautious because he doesn't know what we do have really. I think we'll have a clearer picture of his vision in Year 2

Signed NT Al Woods to a 2 year deal.

Probably going to replace David Parry.

Someone is smoking crack then. Cause he signed a 1 year 10 million dollar deal. And i doubt he passed a 12 million a year 5 year deal up. But who knows.
