Holder said that most of AC's contract is already guaranteed, so the Colts won't gain much cap room from realeasing him.
I wouldn't consider releasing him at this point at all. While inconsistent he & Mewhort have still been the two best players on the line the last couple of years. Do believe the team needs another tackle in the pipeline though because releasing him could become a necessary reality in the 2018 (6 Mil dead $$) or 2019 offseason (3Mil dead $$).

The good news is that Clark has all the physical tools to play LT so if he can shore up the fundamentals a solid RT prospect could get the job done.

I haven't seen enough of Clark to be satisfied that he's an answer. We need more depth on that offensive line, and we need more people to push the starting 5 to stay consistent. I did like Haeg and think he's better suited at RG than RT.

DL and LB should be the priority in the draft, followed by S and CB. And maybe a punter in round 6-7.
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

Jeff Saturday mentioned this on ESPN a while ago, and I agree with him - stop having Luck do 7-step dropbacks every other play. That surely isn't helping with him staying upright. Work on getting the ball out of his hands faster, while still keeping the vertical passing game as an integral part of our offense. In addition to that, sign either a starting right guard or right tackle in free agency. Gore is getting old, and a runner like Dalvin Cook doesn't come around too often, so if we can get Melvin Ingram to sign with us that would be perfect: we get a very good pass rusher, and that frees us up to draft Cook. As far is draft picks go, I really like who we take in the first three round of WalterFootball NFL mock draft (Cook in the 1st, Tim Williams in the 2nd, Raekwon McMillan in the 3rd).

    Ideal Offseason Scenario
    1) sign a starting right guard or right tackle (FA)
    2) sign Melvin Ingram to boost our pass rush (FA)
    3) draft Dalvin Cook to replace Frank Gore (draft)
    4) draft Tim Williams as another pass rusher (draft)
    5) draft Raekwon McMillan to solidify linebackers (draft)

There is no way you pass on Cook if he's there. Regardless of our defensive needs. That guy is going to be a superstar running back.

Jones Jr actually had to track that ball in mid air. That was good.

Jim Irsay says coach, new G.M. are “clicking on all cylinders”

He would have said the team is running like a “fine-tuned machine,” but that phrase already has been used this week.

Instead, Colts owner Jim Irsay took to Twitter to declare that his head coach, Chuck Pagano, and new G.M., Chris Ballard, are “clicking on all cylinders.” Irsay added that quarterback Andrew Luck “is healing” and that there are “great things to come.”

And so Irsay continues to set the bar high, even as his team consistently fails to come close to meeting it. Irsay has said that he expects multiple Super Bowl wins during the career of Luck. Through five seasons, the team has one AFC title game appearance and, for the last two years, no playoff games.

While the Colts have found a long-term quarterback, they lack the kind of complementary talent necessary to contend for championships. Peyton Manning had Marvin Harrison, Reggie Wayne, Edgerrin James, Marcus Pollard, Dallas Clark, Dwight Freeney, Bob Sanders, and more. The Colts have a long way to go to duplicate that roster, and it will be Ballard’s job to do that which former G.M. Ryan Grigson failed to accomplish.

Jags cut Jared Odrick, think he'd be a good addition that wouldn't break the bank

I would love to have Ingram, as long as he doesn't prevent us from being able to fill other holes.

The way I see it, signing him allows us to fill holes more quickly. We have 50 million in cap space, we can afford him.

    It was a Golf Cart

    http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com...arry-arrested/

Report: Colts defensive tackle David Parry arrested

Indianapolis Colts defensive tackle David Parry was arrested early Saturday morning in Scottsdale, Ariz. on suspicion of robbery, auto theft, criminal damage, resisting arrest and driving under the influence, via a report from Holly V. Hays of the Indianapolis Star.

Parry, a fifth-round pick of the Colts in 2015, allegedly hit a man on the head before stealing his street-legal golf cart. Police found Parry on the sidewalk, apparently intoxicated, after he crashed the cart into a gate. The alleged victim was using his cart as a taxi to take people home from a bar when Parry allegedly hit him and stole the vehicle. He was arrested around 2:30 a.m. on Saturday.

Parry has started every game for the Colts over the last two seasons. He’s amassed 78 tackles and four sacks over that span.

Is this the first you heard of the news? That's kind of funny if so.

This REALLY sucks. Innocent until proven guilty in a court of law though,
and will hope for the best. This guy has been a solid contributor the last
couple of seasons. I really liked that play where they lined him up at
fullback. Either way this is going to be a very expensive lesson for him.
    Damn

****. He's the only player I wanted the Colts to re-sign this offseason.
