4 wins over .500..we're teetering on the outer edge of mediocrity.

I saw nice defense and unselfishness tonight. Stuckey (or not having Aaron Brooks stink it up) made a big difference tonight.

A win on the road where Paul can't hit water from a boat? I'll take it.

The #3 seed is the ideal spot and very attainable as long as we can stay away from these 3 game tanks we seem to fall into.

If we keep playing like this with the improved defense, Larry Bird is starting to look smarter with his blueprint. As good as our defense was with the old core, they didn't have enough offense to get over the hump.

    Wish Stuckey could stay healthy.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

He needs to seriously consider retiring.

``The Pacers play a lethargic style of basketball and they kind of lull you to sleep with their own energy,’’ Vogel said. ``I thought our energy was OK, but certainly not good enough to get a `W.’’’

    Miles - 42%
    Turner - 40%
    Young - 40%
    George - 39%

    Rudy Gay - 37%

Remember when we wanted Rudy Gay because we needed a three point threat?

Haha, what? I'm totally confused by that comment. Was he watching game tape from two seasons ago when he said that?

I watched his press conference on the Magic TV coverage after the game and found that quote very puzzling. Not sure I understand what Frank was trying to say. I realize it was in reference to his own team.

Beyond that I was a little confused by PG's play last night. I understand he wasn't hitting his shots - and I have no problem with that, but often he seemed lackadaisical with his play. I thought maybe he was sick or something.

I think are starters are pretty good. As long as McMillan is smart enough to pull CJ before he goes 1-12. GRIII is playing well off the bench and if CJ is off, bring in GRIII.

I still say we need to find a back up PF that can guard stretch 4's. Other than that, I think we have a pretty decent team.

The Magic are 18-32, there's reason to be depressed.

Miles is still above 40%!? He felt like he was shooting horrible of late.

Remember when we could have gotten 1-2 solid players and a possible Top 3 draft pick in the 2017 NBA Draft by trading away Paul George?

Yeah, Frank has never had that kind of losing as a head coach, in his 1st year with the Pacers they finished well under .500 but I think with the games he coached they were around even.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

Here is another puzzling quote from that article:

"It was a game that I thought we were going to win throughout the whole game, throughout the entirety of it," forward Aaron Gordon said glumly when that hope never materialized.

Never once did I feel like Orlando really threatened. I guess Gordon is so used to losing that it now feels like winning. Vogel was always a rah-rah guy, I'm not seeing that right now in Orlando.

I really feel bad for Frank. First of all, I maintain that letting him go was a poor choice. But beyond that, it was handled very poorly.

The Magic seemed like a good fit for him because they had some good young talent and some players who fit the mold of a "Vogel guy" that he could coach up. But then they made the Oladipo trade. The roster instantly became a HUGE mess. Terrible guard depth, MASSIVE forward/center bottleneck.

What a terrible situation for his new front office to put Frank in. Don't get me wrong, they are a conference opponent, so I am not cheering for them to all of a sudden become a powerhouse or something, but I was happy with the fact that Frank was inheriting a young team that had a chance to mirror what the Pacers were when he took over to an extent.

I think Frank got really, really screwed over by his own front office before he even held his first practice. And as someone who really admires Frank a lot, it hurts me to see it happen to him. He definitely doesn't seem happy at all. Part of me almost hopes they decide to fire him and he gets a better opportunity next summer.

It's been established that Frank had just as much a hand in that deal as his GM. I'll post the draft press conference video if I can find it again.

Frank's made his bed... shoulda went to the Grizzlies if he wanted to clone the Pacers.
