For me personally, because i've kind of grown apathetic towards this team, I think he would breathe some life in the team and fans with similar attitudes like mine right now.

Good for Uthoff, bad for the Mad Ants. Uthoff didn't get much game time during his first stint with the Mavs.

    and this:

"We just haven't had enough chances to see them play yet," President of basketball operations Donnie Nelson said.

Another big night for Tyler. 31 points, 16 rebounds.

The Fort Wayne reporter thinks someone will bring him up to the NBA.

Hansbrough has been terrific for Ants
JUSTIN A. COHN | The Journal Gazette

I would not be at all surprised if Tyler Hansbrough gets called up to an NBA team soon. In fact, Iíd be surprised if he isnít.

    Yes, he's been that good.

Tonight, he had 31 points, the most of his eight games in the D-League, and he had a game-best 16 rebounds, as the Mad Ants defeated the Delaware 87ers 116-109 at Memorial Coliseum.

Alex Poythress added 23 points as Fort Wayne led for all but 19 seconds in front of 4,744 spectators, including Indiana Pacers president Larry Bird.

He'd bring more to the team than Brooks currently does. If we replaced Brooks, Young or even Niang with him I'd be ok with it. Prefer Brooks

I am a little surprised he fell otu of the NBA. I fiured he'd have a ten or so year career as a backup.
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

I personally think psycho T would be a much NEEDED boost of energy and excitement to this team.. I would like to see him called up for a couple 10 day contracts, just to see what happens.. We sure could use his toughness up front..

Tyler ended with 13 and 8 tonight. Orlando Johnson contributed 17 and 6 for the visiting squad.

Hmm, something seems fishy about Tyler being brought in, and Larry starting to attend games?

Pacers’ president Larry Bird has also been in attendance for some of the games. He was there on March 18th, where Hansbrough dropped 31 points and 15 rebounds. Larry was also there last night, where Hansbrough recorded 13 points and 8 rebounds.
An attempt by Tyler to audition for Larry?

If that dude dedicated every bit of his bball energy to crashing boards, setting hard screens, passing, and being a serviceable defender, I would love him on the team. Unfortunately, he'd probably end up going 0-3 from the floor every few possessions.

Tyler will be on the Pacers next season. He may be the 14th or 15th man, but he'll be on the team.

We should cut Niang and bring him on board now. He brings a few qualities this team greatly needs right now.

Good news for Jarrod Uthoff. i like his game, I was hoping he'd wind up a Pacer. What makes him unique as a stretch 4 is that he's an all around player. He's not just a shooter like someone like Damjan Rudez. Jarrod can run, jump, shoot, block shots. He hustles and competes. He's the whole package (of potential).

It also means the Mad Ants won't get him back for the playoffs. (I'm not sure we would have anyway since the Mavs sent him down to their D-League team during his 10 day contract. It would have been odd to say we still held his rights when he'd played for another D-League team). The Mad Ants really need Tyler Hansbrough for the playoffs. They'll have to hope that no NBA teams decides to sign him (including the Pacers).

    Expletive!

We better not be facing their DLeague team in the playoffs.

It's a 10 day contract so maybe we'll get him back in time for the 2nd round.

Yeah, I really liked what I saw from him this season. Might actually need a couple of these players next year depending on the cap situation

I wonder if the Pacers were tipped yesterday that the Poythress signing was coming. Might explain why they sent Niang down to the Mad Ants.

There is ZERO reasons why Niang was not assigned to the squad in January for the length of the season. Putting him down there tonight for one game and then recall him for Tuesday's game is B.S. Next season is going to be rookie season 2.0 because he will have almost no legitimate on court time with us. Garbage time IMO almost matters like nothing as it is generally just two min. of D league level play at best.

I can only assume this is Nate because Frank would assign players to the D league.
