Haven't seen him that much to tell you the true, I like Denver Plumlee.

Mason is good, I'm with you on that one. Good, realistic FA target for the Pacers if they so choose. Bonus that he's proving he can play both PF/C with Denver.

Why is Swanigan from Purdue projected late 1st round? Weight issues and height?
"We've got to be very clear about this. We don't want our players hanging around with murderers," said Larry Bird, Pacers president.

I'm limited in seeing him, and love his game, but he looks like a tween defender (too slow to guard PF, too short to guard C).

I think he's a 5 and only a 5 in the NBA. He's got more than enough size. He just doesn't have much defensive versatility.

pretty much, which ties into his lack of lateral speed. I'm skeptical of him being able to be an NBA starter but I still think he's getting mocked low. some of the more old school GMs are gonna fall in love with him once they start getting into the interviews. him going in the 10-15 range wouldn't surprise me.

being able to show (a lot) more of a face up game in the post would help him a lot.

His passing as impressed me a lot.

Assuming they are both there when the Pacers pick, which of the Anunoby/Swanigan duo would you rather see on the Pacers?

it's tough. assuming OG's knee's good like it's supposed to be, then probably him. think he's a Jae Crowder type that'll defend 2-4 really well and would take pressure off PG on that end immediately. I think Biggie and Turner could be a really complementary duo on offense but they'd get killed on D unless Myles makes really big leaps being able to adequately handle guards off the switch, which is entirely possible. Biggie's just gonna probably have to always be hidden on D, could see him feasting on 2nd units though.

plus, we all know it's up in the air if PG's here long term, OG offers a lot more plug and play versatility. Biggie's a lot more of a specific fit.

all that stuff said though, everything I've seen/heard is that Swanigan's one of the hardest, if not the hardest, workers Purdue's ever seen. but there's just only so far he can get given some concrete physical limitations.

Brandon Brantley's the reason for the passing improvement btw. same thing happened with Hammons once Brantley came home, he's gonna be a helluva head coach down the line.

The work ethic is off the charts. He will have some defensive problems though. Considering the improvement from Freshmen to Sophomore I think he has more improvement in him.

Dream scenario would us missing the playoffs & drafting in the lottery. Trading PG to Boston or LA & getting Lonzo Ball with that pick. Lonzo Ball is the safest #1 pick since LeBron IMO.

But he sucks at defense though and is not that good of a rebounder either because he has short arms. His skillset is passing and rolling, which we don't really need.

In today's pick and roll dominated NBA, you can never have too many guys who pass and roll. Short arms or not, he's a better rebounder than either member of our current starting frontcourt.

If the Lakers were in position to draft Lonzo Ball, there is no chance in hell they trade that pick. Although for the sheer comedy of watching LaVar Ball lose his ****, I'd love to see it.

Which makes our frontcourt pretty sad,

Wow, I don't agree with that at all.

I don't even think he is the safest in this draft.

I don't believe there is ever a truly safe pick. They could get injured in their first game bad enough that it negatively affects their entire career. You really never know. I think Fultz is overall better than Ball, but I do think they both have the potential to be a top 5 PG in the league one day.

Frank Mason would be great pick in the second round. Check out his stats.

HIGH percentage shooter from 3 and 2
