If he's there at 18, I probably wouldn't pass on him personally. Depends on if anyone big happens to fall I guess.

I like his game though, a 6'10 19/20 year old that still has time to fill out his frame but can already hit boards, handle the ball well for his size, shoot, is mobile, and isn't a terrible defender? Yeah I'm cool with that.

Lavar Ball has made the pick for the Lakers. His son is ONLY working out for the Lakers.

Good luck with that mess for the next 10 years or so.

Magic is in a corner. If he does not take him Lavar will be on him forever and if he does take him he will be on Magic forever for something else.

Or Magic could just ban the guy from the arena. Heck, with Magic, he might be able to get him banned from all of LA.

According to Nate Taylor the Pacers like Donovan Mitchell. http://www.draftexpress.com/profile/...itchell-84680/

Some of these plays are against Fox and Devin Smith who are projected ahead of him. I think he could develop into point guard. But at worse he could be Avery Bradley with a better dribble drive.

    I'd rather have Terrence Ferguson.

I like him a lot, but I'm not sure he's "at worse" Avery Bradley. lol I think that would be a really good case.

Exactly. I think he could be better than Bradley...by a significant margin.

Sometimes I wonder who even watches these kids in college... Donovan Mitchell? Really? Sure if you want a kid with horrid shot selection, and absolutely no jumper. He's yet another of the current crop of guards coming out who can't shoot, yet does nothing but settle for long range contested jumpers. Very little basketball iq as well. Just because a kid shows some hops in a few highlights, doesn't make him a good player.

I don't watch college. But from watching his highlights, it seemed like a lot of his scoring was from shooting. I just thought he was a little undersized for a SG

Take who teams "like" pre-draft with a huge grain of salt...their words mean absolutely nothing right now.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."

You mean there is another way to score? Other than shooting?

i've watched him play a couple times. He's raw, but he's not nearly as incompetent as some of these huge guys who are only out there because they're huge. Pretty good athlete for his size too. He can rotate some on defense and has a couple of nice offensive moves. He'll get a chance in the league and he should. If some team invests in a decent big man coach to work with him for a year, he could at worst become a guy off the bench who disrupts things in the paint and scores a little.

So far there have only been three players that mock drafts have near the Pacers pick at 18. They are:

    -Ike Anigbogu
    -John Collins
    -TJ Leaf

Others that could go late first round:

    -Sindarius Thornwell
    -Jordan Bell
    -Caleb Swanigan
    -Semi Ojeleye

I'm not big on TJ Leaf, but I do like John Collins. He's not my first pick, but I do think he'll be a good player, and I'd be ok with him if none of my preferred picks are available.
It's a new day for Pacers Basketball.
