This seems really complicated, huh? Well, here's the good news - you don't have to do anything with this information! I'm just providing it so you guys know the method to my madness. The draft lottery will be completely administered by the commissioner and the results will be summarized right here in this thread. For those interested, however, I plan to livestream the event at 8:30 PM EST this Thursday night on [twitch.tv/lg33_ikl]. I don't encourage anyone to sit and watch the full thing, but if you'd like to pop in and ensure everything is on the up-and-up, you're all welcome. I imagine the video will be found wanting in both quality and, since it'll just be a dude shaking a cardboard box filled with ping pong balls, entertainment value.

The next 48 hours will serve as a public review period. Questions, concerns, comments - send them all my way, either privately or through this forum, so I may address them. Thank you all for your patience, and good luck in the 2016 IKL Draft Lottery!

Brilliant! I am totally loving this, even though it probably won't mean anything positive to my position.
Yay, we don't know what we're doing as a franchise! thanks PG!

Congratulations to diamonddave00 and the Casa de Verde Castle Guards on securing the #1 overall pick in the first IKL Draft Lottery! The lottery took about an hour and fifty-two minutes to complete from start to finish, and I was fortunate enough to be joined by pacersgroningen for the beginning and aamcguy for the duration. aamcguy was able to see his Terre Haute Summits defy probability and secure the 24th overall pick, only to see it forfeited immediately to Tasmanian thanks to draft day trade back in 2015. It was a rough night for all.

Here are the complete results of the lottery:

    Third Round
    376 - La Porte Polecats
    199 - Tasmanian 'Redbull' Devils
    316 - Baltimore UpsidePotential
    795 - Baltimore
    055 - Portland Hexenbiests
486 - Casa de Verde Castle Guards
    434 - Canyonville T'ist'ilal
    483 - Pink Panthers
    855 - Canyonville
    820 - Canyonville
    741 - Canyonville
    621 - Casa de Verde
    240 - Canyonville
    376 - La Porte
    057 - Philadelphia Clown Babies
    470 - Canyonville
    345 - Casa de Verde
    947 - Funk Seoul Brothers
    919 - Canyonville
    128 - Canyonville
    460 - Las Vegas Venom

    Second Round
    280 - Tasmanian 'Redbull' Devils
    163 - Canyonville T'ist'ilal
    925 - Young Turks
    444 - Terre Haute Summits
    038 - Las Vegas Venom
    725 - Young
    378 - Canyonville
    457 - Las Vegas
    250 - Tasmanian
    149 - Baltimore UpsidePotential
    296 - Baltimore
    986 - Canyonville
    700 - Canyonvile
    805 - Canyonville
883 - Casa de Verde Castle Guards

    First Round
792 - Casa de Verde Castle Guards
    082 - Tasmanian 'Redbull' Devils
    273 - Las Vegas Venom
    491 - Casa de Verde
    266 - Canyonville T'ist'ilal

Beat the odds: The Portland Hexenbiests had only an 0.8% chance to climb into the top half of the third round, but they did just that when #055 was called on just the fourth drawing of the evening. They jumped 13 spots from where they were slated at the beginning of the night.

Beaten by the odds: The Baltimore UpsidePotential lost ground in every round, falling back three spots in the first round, six spots in the second round, and one spot in the third round.

Odd man out: The Hometown Hotshots were the only franchise that appeared in all three rounds of the draft lottery but did not hear their name called by the commissioner.

Are there rankings of the players available to draft? If I can remember from last year, there weren't rankings. Players were listed in alphabetical order instead

There seems to be some opposition to the draft lottery among the owners. I'd like to hear more input from those that haven't spoken up, whether in favor of the lottery or not.

You seemed to have put in a lot of work on the lottery. For the teams that didn't hit in the lottery, how many spots down did they fall? If someone was supposed to pick 5, and they ended up 7, I don't think it's that big of a deal. However, if a team was supposed to pick 5, and they are now 18, that's a significant drop

I know I moved up to the top of round 3 which means I beat the odds since my area was small. I don't mind the lottery, but those who were in my weak conference and got passed by better teams from the other who didn't make the playoffs might not be happy. Since I didn't have a first round pick it didn't hurt me.

Didn't we vote on this last season?

The most a team could fall was four spots in the first round, seven spots in the second round, and ten spots in the third round, but the odds against any of those happening were pretty slim. The first round is obviously the most important one, so no playoff teams were allowed to be in the mix for the top overall seed.
