Trevion Williams committed. Apparently he's a good basketball player for 2018.

I remember well when he burst onto the scene back in the late 80s. I had never seen a Purdue QB like that before.

this happened a few weeks ago but first I heard of it, damn Lew. you ****ed up man.

DECATUR — Former Eisenhower High School basketball star Lewis Jackson was arrested Saturday after police said they found more than 70 grams of heroin in his vehicle.

A detective with the Macon County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on his vehicle about 1:30 p.m. on Interstate 72, the sheriff’s office said in a news release. Jackson, 27, was the only occupant.

Chance, the K-9 officer that works for the sheriff's office, conducted a “free-air sniff” and alerted his handler to the presence of an illegal drug odor. A search of the vehicle revealed the heroin, as well as two Xanax pills and 8.4 grams of cannabis, the sheriff’s office said.

Jackson was arrested on preliminary charges of possession of heroin with intent to deliver and taken to the Macon County Jail, where he posted $50,000 bond on Monday. Preliminary charges are subject to approval and change by the Macon County State's Attorney's Office.

In a sworn affidavit, police said the drugs were found in a bookbag that also contained credit and debit cards with Jackson's name on them. "During a Mirandized interview, Jackson stated he was directed to take the bookbag from Chicago to Decatur," the affidavit said.

He is due in court to be arraigned on July 21.

Jackson was a two-time H&R Macon County Player of the Year, in 2006 and 2008, leading Eisenhower to three straight regional titles and the school's first sectional title in 31 years. As a senior in the 2007-08 season, Jackson led Eisenhower to an undefeated regular season and was third in Illinois' Mr. Basketball voting in addition to being H&R county player of the year.

Jackson went on to Purdue University, where he was a four-year starter at point guard. He was on the Big Ten All Freshman team and made Big Ten Honorable Mention his junior and senior seasons.

Jackson went undrafted, but played in Lithuania during the 2012-13 season and played for several teams in the NBA Developmental League from 2013 to 2016.
