    That defense though...

Not going to get too excited about one win, but I really think we might finally have a defense that isn't completely terrible.

I just noticed that our men's soccer team is ranked #5 in the country after three games. Neat!

Ball State has beaten us 3 straight times.... That's pretty sad.

Yep, I can't say I'm surprised though. I feel good about this team right now, which means it's almost certainly going to lead to a loss this weekend.

you're probably gonna win the Bucket 4 straight years for the 1st time since they were pulling kids off the field to go straight to the Eastern Front

Which speaks more about the current state of your program than ours, sadly.

    Pretty solid start here.

Our defense has gotten an absurd amount of turnovers.

Simmie Cobbs got hurt earlier too, so that sucks. Looked like an ankle sprain.

Competition has been questionable at best, but the defense just plays different. They swarm the ball, they appear to actually tackle, and they are getting takeaways. I haven't seen any of those patented 40 yard passes with no Hoosier within 20 yards of the receiver yet.

The biggest thing I like about the new D is how aggressive it is. Constant blitzes, corners in press coverage etc. I don't miss our corners being 8 yards off the receiver on 3rd and 2.

When is the last time an opponent didn't score by halftime?

Nate had his issues, but he was a pretty damn good college quarterback.

We have been really bad on third down today. Lagow still has some growing to do.

His deep ball isn't very accurate, but I hate the conservative play calling we started using.

Eh, I don't mind it. The game was never in doubt. Why show off more of your playbook than is necessary?

It gives me some bad flashbacks to Rutgers last season. Especially with the blocked punt. I agree though the game never really was in doubt.

Our new punter needs to get rid of the ball faster. Teams are going to keep coming after him until he does.

Yeh, fish was talking about that last week. Said he was good but he's gotta speed it up or it's gonna be a problem.

FYI Northwestern looks winnable. Lost to a MAC team week 1 and Illinois State this week.

And that's what happens when you have a defensive coordinator on staff who brings infectious energy and whom players want to play for, and perhaps more importantly, don't want to let down.

There's only two games on our schedule that I don't think are winnable. Ohio State and Michigan.

Yes, I think Sparty is winnable.

I agree with Sparty being winnable, I wouldn't necessarily bet on IU but definitely think we have a shot. We've been so close to getting that big upset recently, maybe this is the year we finally seal the deal.

I figured Northwestern would be a tough one because its away, but they look pretty terrible right now.
