Glad for OG obviously, go get that money, but I just don't know if he's actually ready. Regardless, get paid.
I think whether he's ready or not is mostly irrelevant, what I question is if he's shown enough in his limited time on the court, especially considering the injury and surgery, and really shown nothing post injury for an NBA team to actually consider him early in the first round. Or in the first round at all.

Apparently the winds are blowing the direction that he has and will be taken high, but you'd think for the millions involved, the gamble of wasting a pick, etc., that the risk would be too high in the first round.

But he'd be a fool not to take the money and run.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

Coming off a major injury will probably hurt him on his rookie contract. To me going into the draft after such an injury, when you are still eligible to play in college, comes off as either poor advice or as someone who is worried about his future health and wants to cash in while he knows he'll be able to. I'll assume the former rather than the latter.

It was the right choice. Someone with multiple picks will gamble on him earlier than you migh think.

So has Thomas and Blackmon declared with no agent yet? It would be stupid not to. It is a great opportunity to talk with scouts and find out what they need to change in their game. The exposure is good for players even contemplating returning.

Blackmon has, yeah. Same as he has done the past two years. I don't think Bryant had declared yet, but I'm with you--it would be silly of him not to.

Really every player that has even a remote chance of ever playing in the NBA should go do the NBA workouts to see where they stand. That is just smart business.

I agree, but there's only so many spots for the combine. It'll have to get addressed eventually cuz teams just aren't gonna have time to give actual advice. Though I guess if you don't get invited or the memo you get from teams is basically "who?" it's all the feedback you need.

Clifton Moore reaffirmed his commitment to IU. He'll probably be a top 100 kid in the final rankings. Gotta wonder where the other 2 scholarships are coming from though.

Ideally, we need Bryant's size. But I can see him and Blackmon signing an agent. If we have people transferring out who would it be?

McSwain should probably think about transferring. Will be hard for him to get minutes next year.

He only has that one year of eligibility remaining since he was a JuCo guy. Don't think he is in any position to be a grad transfer either.

Marshall Named Director of Athletic Performance For IU Men’s Basketball
BLOOMINGTON, Indiana - Indiana University men's basketball head coach Archie Miller has announced that Clif Marshall will join the staff as the team's Director of Athletic Performance. Marshall comes to IU after spending 10 years as the Performance Director at Ignition Athletics Performance Group where he was responsible for the design and implementation of both the strength and speed programs. Ignition is based out of Cincinnati, Ohio, and has trained more than 10,000 athletes, including standouts in the NBA, MLB, MLS, and the NFL.

"I think Clif is a difference maker," said Miller. "He brings a wealth of experience and has worked with some of the top athletes in their respective professions. His ability to motivate and get the best out of those he trains will be a great asset. This position is as critical as any you have on our staff and we are excited to welcome him, Stacey, Mary Grace and Harrison to the Hoosier family."

Solid interviews with Archie Miller and the rest of the coaches after settling in at IU and working/meeting with players:

Recruiting is interesting again. Hearing how Crean handled stuff as time went on...ehhh...

Archie seems much more organized, and I won't miss the annual oversign ********.

He probably just realized Miller isn't Crean and won't put up with his incessant pouting and whining during games.

Bryant is going to get eaten alive in the NBA. He let IPFW's bigs constantly push him out to the three-point line...NBA bigs will probably push him into the fifth row.

Seems a little harsh. He didn't have a great sophomore year but the entire team was a mess. I wish him the best, but don't really want the Pacers to draft him, even in the second round.

    Good.
Of the 3 who left, this one actually pleases me. Good luck in europe because the nba is full of stories of undersized 2's who couldn't make it.
