Apparently Ohio State made at least an exploratory phone call to Archie Miller about their head coaching position.

I'm kinda excited to watch IUFB this year given what Tom Allen did with that defense (that story doesn't get enough credit on a national scale) last year. But Richard Lagow scares the HELL outta me. He's human sabotage.

And when asked who would be the DC now with him (Tom Allen) taking over as head coach he replied "You're looking at him!"
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

You put an elderly Knight, a man never known to have a filter in the first place, in a politically correct, overly sensitive environment, and you get sexual harassment claims?
    I can't say I'm surprised.
He made a career out of being offensive and insensitive. And they invited him to the DC area and thought it would be a good idea to have him speak?

Bob Knight is an irrelevant clown. I'd imagine people in their 30s and older still remember him to some degree, but he's fading fast from IU's consciousness. Won't be long until he's more or less just a name in a book, as opposed to his icon status past. All his fault.

Ummmm no.... I meant I'm not surprised Knight would do something inappropriate and he was in a place where it would definitely not be overlooked or easily excused. I was surprised they even put him in that position because it was just asking for trouble with a person like him.

No..... not what I meant.... I meant Knight is always likely to do something offensive and this was a place where it would not be excused nor likely that people would look the other way and just say "Oh, that's just Knight!". I'm not surprised there was an incident (or incidents), and they (people holding the event) shouldn't be surprised either. And nobody should excuse his behavior either. That happened far too often in his career and probably has just made it worse now.
He's at a point where it's best to just leave him in his cave with his bitterness and ego...
But once you bring him into the light, if he does something inappropriate, he should face the consequences.
I'm just saying I'm not surprised he managed to act inappropriately, and I'm not surprised he did it this time where he didn't get his normal fandom benefit of the doubt. And none of that surprises me.

Scratch that, he's reclassifying to '17, and will redshirt this coming season.

Can't say I remember seeing a top 100 kid reclassify a year up and redshirt. That's a new one.

.... And another commitment, 4* wing Damezi Anderson from South Bend.... Archie racking up em' up lately.

Best part is Purdue put the full court press on this kid.

Wouldn't totally shock me if IU landed another commit in the next few days either. Still a glaring need at point guard and I have a sneaking suspicion that we will leave a spot open for Romeo too.

Definitely still think we're leaving a spot open for Langford. We're also going pretty hard after Garland, and Luguentz Dort (5 star out of Florida) is taking an OV to IU in July.

Damezi said he's trying to get Phinisee to commit to IU as well, so we got plenty of options still out there.

I'm not quite sure how to handle this after multiple offseasons of Tom Crean going full-on creepy uncle and scaring off recruits.

I don't know why, but I'm weirdly confident that we have a good shot at landing Langford.

The only unknown was how Archie was going to do recuiting top talent. These signings help dispel the naysayers.

kid's going to Louisville. no hate, well a little, but I try to keep it even keeled. wouldn't want anything but the best for the kid save a few nights/afternoons for a year. just think there's too much history, much as you can get with a 17 year old anyway, with Romeo and Pitino and the style, locale, and recent success fit for Archie to get in this late. but hey, if he can pull it off more power to him. just would take Louisville against the field. Swanigan was going to Michigan State til he wasn't and had people freaking out about never signing an LOI (never sign an LOI kids) until he actually showed up in uniform so who knows, "late in the game" isn't actually late now.
