Well the last third of the season and playoffs myles was terrible. Like contributed nothing most of the time in that stretch. Couldn't hit a shot, defend anyone, box anyone out...
The last third of the season Thad was either hurt or playing hurt. Myles playing terrible is still better.

Let's compare their seasons as a whole shall we?

    Myles Turner: 14.5 PPG 7.3 RPG 2.1 BPG 51% FG 35% 3PT

    Thaddeus Young: 11.0 PPG 6.1 RPG .4 BPG 52% FG 38% 3PT

Have fun trying to argue Thad was better.

Do they really? He looks completely useless when his jumper isn't falling to me. Really needs to improve defense, rebounding, passing, playing more physical, post moves

Wrong, I asked who was better last season...

You guys are proving my point. Borderline top 10.
All of those guys were better last year and are better players moving forward as well

Summer has a tendency to bring out some crazy thoughts. Myles Turner is projecting to be as good as Kevin Garnett. He may not, but he's statistically right there. Thad is a backup or tweener able to start in a pinch. What in the world is going on in this thread?
Lance is finally home. Whether he becomes our starting PG or he's 6th man, he's getting big minutes and he's here to stay. #llortontnia

PD is losing it! People are confused and afraid because they don't know what to expect. They don't know what this team will look like. This is the 1st time in long while that this team hasn't had a clear cut #1 guy.

There is no question who has the higher ceiling. But have people forgotten how bad myles was playing to end the season? He's not very good right NOW.

I keep hearing thad can only 'start in a pinch' but he is generally regarded at 10-15th at his position so thats false. Myles also falls into that same range at center. They are about the same level NOW. Stats don't convince me otherwise

Dude even with Turner struggling at the end of the season he shot 50+% from the field and put up 14.5 PPG at age 20...

For someone who's not very good, every team in the NBA would take him in a heartbeat... The hate he gets is unreal.

Thats off the top of the head

Id probably take Jaymichel Green over and Tobias Harris over him too
Favors only started 39 freaking games. Please again refer to the original question, name 12 starting PF that had a better year than Thad. Dieng produced less on a non playoff team. You have 4 guys on there that missed around 30+ games!

You're being absurd. If you take out your hate for Thad, it easy to admit Thad had a more productive year than Dirk and the like.

You continue to prove my point.

For the record, I think on a contender Thad comes off the bench. But there just aren't many great PFs, which is why I'm really hoping we develop one this year.
