    Default Vacation Away!

The family and I are leaving in an hour for our Make a Wish trip to Disney World. Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? I have only been to Florida a few times and only once to the Orlando area.

I definitely recommend making the drive to the Kennedy Space Center.

We finally made it here and the give kids the world village is pretty freaking cool I must say. My daughter nearly crapped herself when she saw the white squirrels. We did meet a woman working in the food court that was from Alexandria.

    Enjoy yourselves!
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

I went two years ago, and I am going back in June.

Space Center - The cool part is taking the bus out to the launch site past the buildings and hauler (or whatever it's called).

Gator Land - It was miserable the day we went, so it hurt the rating a bit. They have live shows and some other exhibits.

Science Center - Suited for preteens, not that there's anything wrong with that. Comparable to the Children's Museum.

Blue Man Group - Pretty entertaining, did the VIP experience.

Ripley's - Fun to see the weird and quirky exhibits.

I think I was like 12 or 13 when I first went to Disney and saw white squirrels. I lost my ****. The first one I saw I thought I had stumbled upon some rare creature and that nobody would ever believe me.

We went to Universal Studios Tuesday- crazy as hell and could never find a photographer. Then Wednesday Epcot Center- better, got to do a meet and greet with the animals. Yesterday was Sea World- good day Alex got to have some time with the dolphins and go behind the scenes with the aquariums. We thought about Magic Kingdom today but my old legs say, "no mas", I can't do four days in a row. I am sick too so I don't want to get any of these kids sick here, most are high risk. We are staying in the village today and enjoying what they have. Maybe Magic Kingdom tomorrow. Maybe airboat ride today too. I think the airboat ride will be awesome because my daughter loves wildlife like me.

Are you staying at one of the Disney resorts at DW?

If you are and have the time to stay back at the resort......than they have a lot of nice things to do at the resorts themselves.

No, we're staying at the Give Kids the World village (parent company of Make a Wish). They have been awesome here and have a ton of activities. I am sick now though and fear developing pneumonia once again. Our medical insurance doesn't work down here so I gotta suck it up until Monday.
