Default Bulls v Wizards, a great great game- I love the Bulls

I'll say it right now the Bulls are clearly my second favorite team in the NBA and until Artest comes back Nocioni is my favorite player in the NBA.

But this really has been a great, great game. By far the best game of the weekend so far. I just love how the Bulls play and Nocioni sets the tone for that team. He is a cross between Artest and Foster.

I also love the new Bulls. It's a d@mn shame about Curry because he is absolutely unstoppable on the offensive end.

Skiles is the best coach in the NBA. I think Rick has done a great job this year but if I had to pick a coach to build a team Scott would be it.

I think he is as good a defensive coach as Brown is, almost.

If I had a vote I would vote for Scot Skiles as coach of the year. But John Paxson has done a great job putting that team together

Last summer there were a few rumors about the Pacers acquiring Tyson Chandler and if you watched the 4th quarter today you'll know why I wanted TC

He was probably inspired by Mark Jackson and the Reggie ceremony. Anybody know of any connection between Chandler and Jax? To me that was really the only wrong note Mark hit, by calling out Tyson Chandler instead of JO or another Pacer........

I'd like to welcome you all to the Bulls' bandwagon. I'd also like to remind you that I was here first.

In Mark's speech he said something turned to where the Bulls were hanging out and he said something like Tyson Chandler should use Reggie as his role model. I did think it was kind of weird to single one player out let alone one on the opposing team. I assume he figures he doesn't need to tell the Pacers that Reggie is a good role model.

During Mark Jackson's tribute to Reggie at the game Wednesday night, mark mentioned that it was good to see chandler stick around to watch the ceremony for Reggie.

The strange thing is I think the whole Bulls team was there, although I could be wrong about that, AD and SS was there, but we know the whole Pacers team was there, MR is suggesting maybe MJ could have mentioned a pacer player and not a Bulls player

"First of all, I just want to acknowledge Tyson Chandler sittin' over there, because it is awesome when you are able to, as a young fella, see the way you are supposed to do it. And you soak this in, because this could be you. I appreciate ya..."

I just thought it was weird . Why not say "All of you young players watching..." or something like that rather than singling out a Bulls player?.......

When he said that, my family all had the same reaction...

"Why did he do that?" Maybe there's a personal relationship between the two that the public doesn't know about. Are they really good friends or something? Is there some bad history on Tyson Chandler?

I loved Nocioni's play at the Olympics and he has been fantastic for the Bulls, especially since Deng went down. If they had Curry still I think they could have made alot of noise sooner rather than later. I guess I discounted them abit when Curry was out, but the Wizards have just as little playoff exp as them, so maybe i was abit premature in thinking they'd lose in the 1st rnd.

I've heard Slick complain a couple of times that the Bulls' defense was illegal and they had everyone in the lane or somesuch.

IMO, it was a feeling of respect that M.J. felt that Chandler showed for Reggie by being there for the ceramony. He could have gone to the team bus or set in the locker room or something.

All of the Pacers were kind of obligated to be out there but the Bulls players were not.

I just think Jax thought it was a sign that Tyson respected the game or the player, but what do I know.

As a lifetime Pacers fan, it is a disgrace for me to ever like the Bulls

    But they are damn good
Don't ask Marvin Harrison what he did during the bye week. "Batman never told where the Bat Cave is," he explained.

So... would we have had a better chance against the Bulls than the Celtics?

If we play like we did in Game 1 we have equal chance against either . . . 0%.

If we ever play well, we will beat the Celtics. I could picture us playing well and still losing to the Bulls.

    Yes.

My Son thought I was nuts but I kept telling him all along that the one team I did not want to play in the playoffs was the Celtics & I had been saying that for the last month.

I'm not kidding when I say I'd rather have played the Pistons than the Celtics. It's not because Boston is a better team but it's all about matchups & we just don't match up with the Celtics at all.

I wasn't thrilled playing the Nets or the 76rs either but it was the Celts I didn't want the most.

Chicago still tries using their bigs down low on the post & that at least gives Dale a fighting chance. The Celtics don't post up, but they go facing the basket & that is the hardest to defend if they are quick, which they are.

I still beleive we can pull this off, but there are going to need to be adjustments for certain.

I love Nocioni. He's the type of player Ron could be if he were "sane".
Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
And life itself, rushing over me
Life itself, the wind in black elms,
Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

Isn't Nocioni considered the dirtiest player in the NBA right now.

I think Skiles wants everyone to believe he's dirty- to create a "reputation" for him that stands out vs. the so-called 'soft' foreign players.

I think he's just hardnosed. I haven't seen anything that I'd call dirty - at least not in a "Bruce Bowen" type of dirty/ But I'll also leave open the possibility that there's stuff out there on Nocioni that I haven't seen.

Absolutely. That guy will take 4512214 cheap shots per game. Slapping arms, throwing elbows, tackling players on jumpers.....

    I love the guy

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

The only altercation I saw from Nocioni that was a little dirty was the cheap shot he placed on Wade after a foul. It was clearly a sign of frustration, and a Ron Artest type of move.
"It's just unfortunate that we've been penalized so much this year and nothing has happened to the Pistons, the Palace or the city of Detroit," he said. "It's almost like it's always our fault. The league knows it. They should be ashamed of themselves to let the security be as lax as it is around here."
