    Default Pacers record during the 4 game road trip will be?

    I want your predictions. Also want to know what record would make a good trip, bad trip etc....

    I think the Pacers will go 3-1, they will beat the Jazz and the Warriors and split the games at Denver and Clips.

    3-1 would be outstanding trip, 2-2 would be OK

    For some reason I always enjoy the two west coasts trips a year, not sure why I enjoy the trips I get very little sleep.

    4-0 = Great Trip
    3-1 = Good Trip
    2-2 = Acceptable Trip
    1-3 = Disappointing Trip
    0-4 = Awful Trip

    Although I think 4-0 is do-able, I'll say we go 2-2 or 3-1, can't make up my mind which.

    I'll go indytoad and say 2-2.

    I think 2-2 should be expected and would be a good road trip.

    yup. Maybe 3-1 but I don't think so.

    Obviously all these games are winable and I always hope for the best, but with all the uncertainties, a 2-2 record would not be a bad outcome.

    Denver has not been playing well, but they match up well with us.

    The Clips are talented but haven't put it together. And they are young.

    GS is crippled at point

    And, Utah in an enigma. They just often find a way to win.

    2-2.

    I would have to say 2-2 just by the way that we are playing, eventhough 4-0 is not a long shot.

    Golden State is the first game & I think the guys will go in ready to roll.

    The Warriors, as mentioned before, are hurting at the point & this should really help us out. We should get a win here.

    The next night we play the Clippers.

    The upside to that is that the Clippers play in Sacramento while we are playing the Warriors. So it will be the 2nd of a back to back for both teams. If either team is involved in a blow out during their first game they might have an advantage here. This one could go either way.

    The Pacers are off Thursday before playing at Utah on Friday. The bad news is that Utah has a home game Monday & is off Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday. That 3 day break & their quick guard combo of Arroyo & Lopez worry me. I could see us loosing this game.

    Saturday is an off night for us but not for the Nuggets. Denver plays at home while we rest, then they play us in the 2nd of a back to back for them. If Camby is back it might be close, the guy is on a rebounding tear lately. If he is still out, both Denver as well as both my fantasy teams are sunk. Pacers win this one.

    Golden State ----- W

    LA Clippers ------- W (too close to call but I wanna be optimistic)

    Utah --------------- L

    Denver ----------- W

    I'm with Jose. 3-1 with Clips being a worrisome game.

    @GS- Win

    @Clipps - Win

    @Utah - 50/50

    @Denver - 50/50

    Denver and Utah are fighting for the 8th Seed in the west with only 2 games between then so I expect them to fight hard. I think we will beat one but not both. The Nug's just pasted the Knicks last night to snap a 5 game loosing streak.

    3-1

    The Pacers will probably lose in Denver. The Golden State game should be tough as well. Utah and the Clips are struggling so I don't fear them that much.

    Larry is not coming back, he didn't have a meeting with Orlando for not reason, yeah he is coming back to the NBA but not to the Pacers, the notion that he is a taking a year off and then come back is absurd.

    Hrmph.

    I say 4 - 0 not because I think that some gmes will be close or not, but to have realistic expectations.
    None of these teams "should" constitute more then effort to defeat. No disrespect, but we ARE the better team.

    I did not say they would not be forgiven if they loose one or two, BUT my expectation, in combination with the "goals" of this team according to the team itself and the players, (JO: we want to get there (#1 seed) as quickly as possible so I can rest a efw games before the playoffs) leads me to "expect" a 4 - 0 record on that trip.

    Also their roadrecord is not one to be ashamed of, and they "should" beat these teams.

    Able I agree that they should beat all 4 of these teams. My point is that regularly in the NBA the game goes to the team who wants it more. Denver and Utah are in a fight with each other for the final playoff spot. They will both be in the game untill the end.

    The other two teams I think can be knocked out with the first 10 or 15 point lead we have in the secind half. They will give up sooner but the other two will fight till the end and that is always dangerous. (thats why Miami is now the 8th seed they dont give up)

    Sorry to be the negative guy today but I think they will go either 0-4 or 1-3. The first reason is if I think that, it won't happen-Murphy's Law. The second is that we're not playing all that well right now and we 1. Don't play well at Utah-never have-but yes they don't have Malone/Stockton any more. 2. Denver is playing very well but that may be the win I'm predicting. 3. Clippers-this is winnable but the way we're playing right now, I don't think we can beat the Clippers on the road. 4. Golden State-we seem to play down to our competition (see Sixers) and I think they will take the night off. However, I'm pulling for a 4-0 trip and that would get us back up on the confidence meter.
    Two=the number 2
    Too=means "also"
    To=many definitions-also known as the one to use when the other 2 (two, too) do not apply.

    Their=shows ownership-'it is their house'
    They're=they are
    There=many definitions-also known as the one to use when the other 2 (their, they're) do not apply

    Sorry but it bugs me when these are used incorrectly when I read posts on PacersDigest.com.

    [Putting on my traditional pessimist hat]

    1 - 3, for the following reasons:

    Golden State will beat us up physically, win the rebounding battle, and wear us down late in the game.

    We'll beat the Clippers in a close game. We have a tendency to play badly in LA whether its the Clippers or the Lakers - we'll play down to their level.

    We'll lose to both Utah and Denver because - as mentioned - those teams have more to play for right now and they're playing with more continuity than we are. Right now, if one of our guys step up its because two or three more guys have "disappeared". That just won't cut it against a team fighting for its playoff life at thier gym.

    All four games are easily winnable on paper, but there's a reason these are called "killer west coast trips."
    Why do the things that we treasure most, slip away in time
    Till to the music we grow deaf, to God's beauty blind
    Why do the things that connect us slowly pull us apart?
    Till we fall away in our own darkness, a stranger to our own hearts
    And life itself, rushing over me
    Life itself, the wind in black elms,
    Life itself in your heart and in your eyes, I can't make it without you

    3-1.

    Denver or Utah loss.

    Interesting factoid:

    The Pacers are 14-6 (0.700) against the Western Conference. That's a better winning percentage than any other team in the NBA, even including the best teams in the west playing games within their conference.

    2-2 Just because we aren't all that energetic right now and I think that the west coast traveling will wear them down a little more. I would be happy if we would go 3-1 however

    The Pacers will go 0-5 on the 4 game trip - that is how bad this team is. They suck and deserve to lose every game the rest of the way.

    OK now that I attempted to distance myself from the 'Sunshine Brigade' and join the 'Sky is falling club' my real prediction is that the Pacers will go 3-1. 2-2 would be acceptable, as long as the team gives effort. Anything worse would be bad.

    If they play the way they did against Philly, I see no reason for them to do better than 2-2. However, if they can get their asses into gear and start playing like they actually want to win, then 3-1. I was watching the Philly game, and it seemed as though no one cared when they were playing. Maybe they were underestimating their opponent, I don't know. But they are going to have to play better than that if they want to win out west.
