5 Indiana schools are top 30 on Kenpom. IU is 13th, Purdue is 15th, Notre Dame is 19th, Butler is 27th, and Valpo is 28th. Evansville is a respectable 65th.

The Purple Aces are underrated. This year, they dance.

#1 UNC loses to Northern Iowa 71-67. Well, okay. Kentucky, welcome back to the top of the polls.

I never got the UNC hype. N Iowa is a good mid major but the top ranked team in the country has no business losing to them. UK looks to be the real deal again. The New England Wildcats. The recruiting class they have coming in next year may be Cal's best yet.

I never knew seeing Chris Mullin and Mitch Richmond drain 3s on an outdoor court in Maui while Bill Walton rebounded in a full tie dye get up was something I needed to see so bad in my life until now

also, Vandy's pretty good and all, but whooo Mullin's got his work cut out for him at St. John's

Man...John Groce's seat might be hotter than Crean's. What the hell happened to Illinois?

it is, but Chicago's basically its' own state. I don't know how true it is or anything, but a lot of them really think so. getting down state to Champaign used to be THE goal, now they don't even know where it is. not saying they think it's the only reason or anything, a lot of old timers just think it really hurt their branding in Chicago.

plus, y'know, they replaced Bill Self with Bruce Weber.

Illinois sports might be in the worst shape in the Big Ten, besides Rutgers. They are irrelevant.

AD's gone, football coach is gone, Groce is probably likely to be gone after the year, womens hoops coach is getting sued by former players (and somehow is still the coach). it's more than just being in bad shape, the next AD is gonna have to be a home run and then hit 2 more home runs when he/she hires new coaches.

if I were them I'd just keep Cubit another year or two for football, he's been able to at least keep them treading water.

Neither Kentucky or Maryland are winning convincingly against directional type state schools. Might be an omen that this will be a wild season.
