Default Indiana University Athletics Thread 2015-2016

We always post these in early August in time to watch another depressing episode of Hoosier football, so here it is. Sorry if I'm stepping on anyone's toes here.

i'm cautiously pessimistic given it's IU football. Sudfeld back - GOOD. O-Line - Good. Front 7 D - I think potentially could see some improvement. Where it all goes to hell for me, though, is the glaring inexperience/unproven personnel at WR and DB. And, again, it is IU football. Schedule would look to have six winnable games, IMO. So, we'll probably be 4 - 7.
I'd rather die standing up than live on my knees.

we should just start pretending our public D1 schools don't have football teams. you could combine the best 22 from both of em and they probably still wouldn't be likely to go bowling.

No excuse for this team to not go 6-6. I know it's IU, but the talent is there and if we can't get it done Wilson's seat has got to be burning hot IMO.

If we can't get to 6-6 and therefore a bowl game, Wilson is gone. Simple as that.

He's gotta have somebody around to Crean in the offseason.

Got a commitment from 2016 SG Grant Gelon. Don't know anything about him other than he can shoot.

His recruitment started all of one month ago, and he committed on the spot when he was offered. In time, he will be Creaned.

I've resigned myself to the fact that we are stuck with him.

There's too much talent on the roster.

As if that could stop Crean. Look at Yogis freshman year team was stacked. Crean managed to not tell the guys Syracuse runs a zone and apparently told them to only pass to Zeller when their arms were tired from all the chucking.

They were still #1 in the country for a solid portion of the year and a #1 seed in the NCAA Tournament. At some critical point, he will **** the season up. But not before he's done enough to ensure he has a job the next season.

I don't think another sweet sixteen saves him. I really dont. Not unless he has a monster class that's too great to pass up.

A Sweet 16 absolutely saves him. Without a doubt.

No to be insensitive, but this kid is the next Max Hoetzel. He'll ride the bench for a year, get recruited over, and "voluntarily" transfer.

On a brighter note, Kyle Schwarber is lighting up the MLB. He had two HRs today.

Or he could be the next Matt Roth. Hes a project thats what you can do when you have 4 of your top 7 players returning and 6 scholarships freeing up. You can take on a project or 2.

Now if at least 4 of the next 5 aren't in the top 150 we are in trouble. We are in really good shape with Curtis Jones, Bruce Brown and Deron Davis.

To me those are 3 we will need to field a complete team next year. Then give me two of the Leaf, Maker and Alkins sweepstakes and I will be happy hell realistically i would be happy getting 1 of those guys.
