I prefer firehouse. Really expensive but they're always delicious.

It wasn't about being the team everyone loved, it was about beating the teams everyone else loved.

I've always wanted to try that. What's their Italian like?

I don't like salami, so I don't do Italian subs.

I do recommend the Engineer, Hook and Ladder, and Turkey Bacon Ranch subs. I've never had a poorly tasting firehouse sub, but those are the best.

Appeals court upholds Jared Fogle's prison sentence

An appeals court has upheld Jared Fogle's sentence on child pornography charges.

The ruling came down Thursday from the 7th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals. Fogle was sentenced in November to more than 15 years in prison in connection with child porn and sex crimes charges.

"In light of the district courtís sound exercise of discretion under the disturbing facts of this case, we uphold the above-guidelines sentence as substantively reasonable," the court wrote.

The former Subway spokesman pleaded guilty to receiving child pornography - some of it created by the former CEO of the Jared Foundation, Russell Taylor. Taylor was sentenced to 27 years in prison after pleading guilty to child exploitation and porn charges.

Fogle is housed at a federal prison in Littleton, Colorado.

I don't get her lawsuit if it's as reported. If she was suing in some form as a stockholder I might see it, but not as his ex-wife. In fact, she should be exhibit 1 for Subway to say "If his own wife didn't know, couldn't see it, and couldn't believe it then how do you expect a corporation to know or believe an accusation like this?"

Further, Subway was under no obligation to tell her anything as his girlfriend, fiance', or wife.

What a frivolous, money grabbing attempt of a lawsuit. I hope it's thrown out and I hope she and her attorney are reprimanded.
Nuntius was right for a while. I was wrong for a while. But ultimately I was right and Frank Vogel has been let go.

That's not how I'm reading this. To me it looks like she's suing Subway because they failed to notify the authorities (as the title of the article says) despite knowing about it and not because they didn't tell her.

While Subway is disgusting in more ways than one here I agree with Bball here this seems more like a money grab and less about justice. I also don't buy that she didn't know either but that's another story.

And how is that any business of her's as far as suing them as his wife?
If they didn't believe it so didn't act, then that's not much different than her living with him and not seeing any signs and/or ignoring them.
And if they did believe it but hoped it would go away, that seems like a legal issue or issue for investors, not an issue for his wife.

I don't see her angle suing as his wife, except in a money grab. And that's not going to fly. Well, legally it won't. They might settle to make it go away so they don't open another can of worms and further harm the business.

If it's as a stockholder that she's suing then that itself would be a different can of worms.

Meh, I don't know. You two could be correct. To me it just looks like she's suing them on the grounds of corporate responsibility and I don't see an issue with that.

Then again, I acknowledge that how lawsuits are perceived in my country is completely different to how lawsuits are perceived in the US. So, it may just be a matter of cultural dissonance.
