Default Smits may really be returning for next season!

I found this in a Dutch newspaper online while searching for Pacer's news. I speak a little Dutch, but this translation is from Babelfish.com:

    translates as:
Amsterdam -- Rick Smits, in former days of the basketball team Indiana Pacers of have identified the V.S. NBA that he is in returning on basketball geinteresseerd. At present motocycling ASTRE in the motocrosskring, he has been inspired by the return of its old teamatedale Davis. Aforesaid Smits, if they can persuade Reggie to remain one more year, I want return to see or can I the team range help Def.. Anyway, I am sick of engine bicycles. 2.4 Long Smits measure by the bird of Larry of the team manager are welcomed. "Smits were an integrated part of our team then I a bus were, and I have no doubt that he could contribute still."

This sounds a little stilted since it's a computer translation, but you get the idea. Here was the original site: http://www.nrc.nl/

I don't know, it might just be smoke and mirrors or a PR stunt. After all, it does say that he wants Reggie to stay for another year for him to return. It would be a serious deja vu experience! I wonder if Mark Jackson can be lured away from the desk...

Rik Smits? Isn't he that stiff that Shaq dominated in the 2000 Finals?

I'm not sure that really has any effect, seeing as you're not really a moderator or an administrator. I just point it out because you've been following our new friend from thread to thread and posting that "banned" smiley in each one.

And yet, he keeps posting. How odd. Maybe using LOTS of those smileys would make it work.

I think Rik could dominate Edwards in practice, the problem is Edwards doesn't start for any team in the East. Maybe Rik was smoking some of that weed widely available in Amsterdam..... happy april fools day everyone.

By the way, do you know the most fun thing in the world to do? Translate something into another language using Babelfish, then retranslate it into English. Then the hilarity will ensue. Here is Conrad's last QOD to and from Italian:

Without they give them Davis, no of the good ones that is happened in the last one would' ve from three weeks be possible. Without they give them Davis, an annotation 8-5 in the would' ve of absence of Jermaine O' Neal be a dream of the tube. Without they give them Davis, the square difetterebbe of all the qualities that you have pointed out and then some. It is and it has always been, a player of which the importance it cannot be measured from statistics. Nevertheless, its numbers are solid: lle medium of 7.1 points, 9.4 bounces and 1.71 blow obstructed in 14 you play with the Pacers.

    9.4 bounces! Whew.

I like the new name for a BLOCK = blow obstructed

No, Shaq was the guy making all your centers look helpless as he drained hook after hook.

Mr, Wannabee Heat fan: There ARE administrators here, trolling gets you banned faster then you, even impersonating Flash, pull up your knickers, so tone down, there will not be any second warnings.

Yeah so much so that Rick only had 24 points at the end of the half in one game.
