    Default David Stern, Hypocrite

Let me ask you all something - if you considered yourself a LEADER and wanted to demonstrate that the league, the pacers, and the Pistons are moving on...

AND you wanted to demonstrate that the Palace was safe...

Wouldn't YOU show up for the game?

Instead, the coward shows what a hypocrite he is by ordering the Pacers into a situation that he does not have the balls to place himself in.

    Inspirational leadership.

I guess they took a vote at league headquarters whether he should go - and it was unanimous he stay in NYC... 1 to 0.
    Heywoode says... work hard man.

I think this will further drive a wedge between the players union and the NBA. If the working conditions are unsafe, your union has the right to say no, don't work under those conditions. It was bad enough when quarters, and all types of **** is being thrown at the players, but a bomb threat, and he orders them to play? Come on Czar, that's just wrong. The game should have been called and the building should have been evacuated. His level of stupidity is up there with Bush's.
Sorry, I didn't know advertising was illegal here. Someone call the cops!

The problem is, deep down, Stern knows the security at the Palace is ****, and doesn't trust them to protect him.

Add in the fact that Detroit is too close to Indiana for his comfort. I doubt he ever goes to a Pacers game again. If we ever make the Finals, he'll fake an illness and send Stu Jackson in his place.

If the twerp attended the game, he probably would have noticed that Jermaine was signing autographs... a few rows up into the stands.

Since everything is black and white to Stern, he probably would have suspended Jermaine, since from Stern's prospective, Jermaine obviously crossed the boundary between court and stands.

Jermaine was awesome. He was signing autographs for everyone and anyone - even if they were wearing Big Ben jerseys...he didn't care. He was smiling, and posing for photographs. He was even patient when people's cameras weren't working.
