I apologize, not really but for the sake of something I will, but the Team from Michigan's announcer is annoying as heck. The whole "Detroit, Basketball" motto is getting quite old and definitely arrogant. Perhaps he should say it at appropriate times, like after Ben Wallace overeacted again (I'm assuming he did; I fell asleep by then on the couch. That 90 minute delay prevented me from seeing the whole game. Thanks a lot, whoever you are who caused that! )

And oh my to that drunk driving story...Just goes to show to all those non-believers out there who think they won't be effected by that stuff while driving.

Thanks for the great recap. It must have been very unnerving to be sitting there for an hour and a half waiting and wondering. I give a lot of credit to our guys for going in there and playing under those circumstances. And esp. for kicking their but on their home floor. I didn't think we could beat them as depleted as we are, so I'm very proud of our guys!

The drunk driver thing is scary, you never know when one of these guys is going to take out innocent people!

Some revisionism here that my parents brought up on the car ride home. What if the game WAS cancelled? What would have happened?
When you read through the posts you missed you'll get the whole story, but the Pacers were split on those that wanted to play and those that didn't. While they were still debating (I guess), the NBA told them to play and that if they did not they would forfeit the game.

My question is did they really wait until the end of the 3rd quarter to stop selling beer? I swear whoever called in the bomb threat was someone in the arena who wanted an extra hour and a half to drink. Actually it was probably his 12 year old kid.

So are you allowed to take cameras to basketball games? Can I take mine to the Bulls-Pacers game tonight??

And GREAT recap, sounds like a night to remember

Conseco allows only still-photo cameras, although if you disguise a video camera as one, I'm sure they will allow those too.

Nice recap carey. Sounds like a hell of a time. The only thing that will top it, is when we are at Madison Square Gardens courtside to see some Knicks Pacers
